/r/TNOmod and the Reddit HOI4 modding community - When a subreddit for a video game mod turns to utter insanity

Notice how the only defense of TNO is how much of a not-game it is.
I really don't get why TrooNO haven't moved on to a easier to code game engine and just be its own standalone visual novel type game like Suzerain. Literally Suzerain is just TrooNO if it was its own game but actually good since it doesn't pretend to be a grand strategy game.

they cant even push mediocre content updates in a reasonable timeframe and you think they can shift to a whole new engine within this century?

The engine used to make Suzerain is undoubtedly easier to work on than modding a 10 year old grand strategy game that frequently gets updates that breaks mods every time. TrooNO still generally has a positive reputation amongst normies so if anything the Suzerain devs would be quaking in their boots being like "oh my god, TrooNO devs are here to ask for my source code? What am I gonna do???"

as far as i can tell (i dont play visual novel "games") suzerain has basically zero modding support, and all existing mods amount to portrait replacers and UI reskins
there is nothing that indicates to me that it is any easier to mod, and it has no workshop support
hoi4 is a familiar engine, and as far as i can tell, it quite easy to mod, seeing as almost all code is stored in plain text files

Sure.

Giving Argentina, Brazil, and Turkey access to space content…
When I was a kid, before I knew what Brazil was I just asume it's flag was that of an interglactic civilization

TNO is not the only mod getting space content, There is an upcoming mod being made right now called Over the Horizon that has satellite orbital mechanics and the whole Solar System has it's own screen map as well.
