I was always a bit suspicious of Ding Dong because he seemed to actually hate the Nostalgia Critic, unlike Chris who was just making fun of his cringe but held no contempt. An odd detail to have hang ups about but it always bothered me.
I think he is a deeply jealous person with a big ego. Using his time on OneyPlays to boost his game dev endeavours is actual poison to him which has slowly eaten his mind. Imagine that, all his income is from handouts. The reason he can freely (too freely even) work on his game(s) is because he's an internet funny guy's former sidekick. He wants to be a self-made man. He wants his own brand (why do you think he streams on his own website, to separate himself from the typical "Twitch streamer"). But he is always stuck playing the second tuba and living on charity.
And he clearly detests people who "lucked out", despite the very industry he's trying to crack being entirely about luck. Both internet entertainment and indie game development. Having the skills to make something is the bare minimum requirement, after that it's actually just gambling.

Meanwhile, a sane person would have never left the lighting-in-a-bottle chance that OneyPlays was for him. They would siphoned as much money as they can from the sycophants in order to scrounge up the capital (both monetary and social) to create something. Chris did this. Zach did this.
Fuck, even Doug Walker did this. He worked as a janitor to pay the early Nostalgia Critic bills. And once he got enough notoriety, he became the Critic full time. One episode almost every week for almost two decades. Some more experimental and personal (and cringe) than the others, some are for paying the bills.

I think I might have inadvertently trolled DD years ago on a stream. He was talking about school sports events being really lame, and I commented how "Someone pooped in the tuba..." because that really happened to my high school band. If I remember right, he read my comment out loud and laughed, and made a comment back to me like "that happens a lot" or something, but now reading the thread I honest to god think it was nervous laughter because he thought I was making a jab at him or something.... It really stuck out to me how fast he responded and how much more attention that comment got compared to my other comments during the stream. It all makes sense now :/

Its the internet equivalent of killing the friendly heavy in TF2. You may not be the biggest fan, but outright hating someone harmless (who is also popular and recognizable) like that is a faux pas
 
I keep seeing on Twitter people getting mad when someone says Dingdong is acting paranoid or schizophrenic. They say "I would, too if I was screwed over at every turn." Have they, though? I really just see it as them making poor decisions and blaming everyone else. Maybe they were with Dream Daddy and then became professional victims after that, but who's to say the Dream Daddy situation was as bad as they claimed it to be?

That’s the biggest issue for me. DingDong in particular was very funny but also very negative. The current regular guests (Tomar, Lyle, Zach, Cory, Adam, Dave, Niall) are so much more light-hearted and that makes the show so much more enjoyable. I don’t want to listen to OneyPlays after a long day at work just to hear a guy constantly bitching (unless it’s Cory ranting about retarded shit like Sonic, that’s funny)

I can't get over the weird fixation on Zach. DD really thinks Zach is some TND "I hate faggots" right winger because he's got normie ass opinions on shit like fetishes and porn(too much porn is an issue which he freely admits he struggles with too, and if you're getting hard over literal feces or children/animals you have a problem), makes fun of people who just pile on their maladies like it's a competition even when not asked because everyone needs to be the most maligned, and rips on media who's only purpose is to spread a "message" no matter how shallow or pandering.
Y'know, all things DD&J have said and done at one point or another.
