To expand on the latter point, the Jews are actually fulfilling their end of the bargain struck with the Lebanese gov't so far and have withdrawn the IDF from some specially selected towns cleared of Hezbollah presence so that the official Lebanese army can move in, starting today. (No archive, it's not working for me atm) The Lebanese end, of course, is to finally disarm Hezb and establish a pathway to eventual peace & diplomatic normalization with Israel (which a lot of the pro-Iranian critics of their framework agreement have denounced said framework for implying, that it compels Lebanon to say it's seeking to live in peace with Israel instead of attacking them at every opportunity even as Israel has to say it doesn't harbor territorial ambitions on Lebanon).
personally since the Lebanese gov't was supposed to have disarmed Hezb a good while ago and has obviously been too ineffectual to do it until now. But they are going further than before this time, while the Israelis are also going further in their commitments than before by actually letting up on Lebanese soil & allowing said government to reassert its control over that soil a little bit, so who knows. It is abundantly clear that the vast majority of non-Shiite Lebanese (across all religions - Christian, Druze, Sunni, etc.) hate Hezbollah and they know this is the weakest Hezb's been since 1982, if they can finally realize the ambitions of Bachir Gemayel this time around that'd be fantastic.
