But his Jason Voorhees avatar shows he’s TOTALLY edgy and not a sheep! He even got his mommy to buy him a Death Nite shirt at Hot Topic so he would stop cutting himself!
…so you’re not gonna jump on him saying “prudential” instead of “prudent” because he agrees with your gay cope take that lets you keep watching pro wrestling?

It's weird how the same people worried about Flock camera privacy issues don't seem to care that Tik Tok and other apps spy on them and send their data to China or other locations to be used for far more nefarious purposes.
That's one of my biggest "pet peeves" about reactionary behavior. And there's a fuckton of contemporary examples of this. I don't know what it's called (if it's called anything), besides people just being easily-distracted fuckwits, but the effect is the important underlying factors (or real knock-on effects) of whatever's being protested gets ignored and not fixed.

  • Opposition to modern AI projects has crystalized into "mindless hatred of and opposition to data centers." So now nobody's complaining (effectively, anyway) about insane price hikes on critical PC components (which is effectively pricing individuals out of personally-hosted AI stuff, but also making computers more expensive in general), people losing jobs en masse to AI replacements (which is a double whammy, reducing consumer spending overall because of income loss, and doubling corporate spending on labor, since they still have to pay for the AI that replaces the old labor and then pay again to replace it with a human again when the AI invariably fucks it up), or how centralized and vulnerable components manufacturing has become (why are there only three companies making all the world's DRAM and flash storage?). So instead of fixing anything everybody's just bitching about "muh datacenters."

  • Opposition to modern surveillance has all zeroed in on Flock and Ring cameras. Two specific brands. Meanwhile literally dozens of other companies are selling similar products, including to government agencies, that do the same (and more). My own fucking house has a dozen Wyze cameras (Chink company, btw) covering its surroundings on all sides. And this kind of shit's been around for 50+ years in different forms. No, CCTV systems of 50 years ago didn't have AI-powered facial recognition and license plate readers, but the idea was the same, and we've been being recorded practically everywhere we go since the technology existed to do it. Cell phone networks have literally never not tracked and logged client station positions and movement. The very first cell phones supported triangulation, all the way back when they were bulky beasts with antennas you unpacked when you wanted to make a call.

The time to protest mass surveillance to any meaningful effect was fifty years ago. We didn't. So here we are. The only "actionable" thing anymore is exposing and punishing abuses, and governing ourselves accordingly. People generally don't like to admit it, but widespread surveillance has improved things in quite a few ways. It is a deterrent for trespassing, vandalism, shoplifting and all other manner of property and interpersonal crimes (you think nigger shoplifting rates are high now? Imagine if Walmart didn't have any surveillance at all). It does make it easier to prosecute crimes and to exonerate innocents who are wrongfully accused. For every example of a lazy cop smugly bragging to a white suburbanite fifty miles out of town that his beloved Flock cameras can "prove" she's a porch pirate, I can give you two dozen examples of random security cameras disproving false accusations. Ubiquitous bodycams on cops has literally transformed modern policing and given the government a lot more confidence to actually enforce laws again.

  • "Muh privacy" is such a fucking joke I laugh anytime I hear someone complain about it. That ship sailed, again, the day the first merchant kept the first log of what each customer bought from them. I have never expected privacy online. You're using other people's equipment. Even if it's promised, you have no real (practical) expectation of privacy.

I was fifteen fucking years old when I first read the (still current) RFCs for email, telnet and FTP. The first thing that stood out to me (I had just spent time learning about PGP and encryption, and was wandering down the "why do I even need to encrypt email myself?" rabbit hole) was "no encryption." Literally none. Encryption was something added (much) later in the internet's lifetime and it was never baked-in (on purpose -- they knew it could be added, and couldn't be done well at the time of the build-out then). WAP, HTTP, SMTP, telnet, FTP, SFTP, DNS, SNMP, DHCP, Gopher, BGP, literally every fucking moving part of the guts of the internet is wide open, in-the-clear, unencrypted.

You control your privacy by being selective about what you choose to transmit. That's it. If you push [send], assume it's no longer private. Not even just because of technological flaws or misbehavior by intermediaries. But because you just sent it to someone else. Even if it remains private between the both of you, they still have that copy and you have nothing but trust preventing them from later leaking it.

If you didn't build the hardware, assume it is untrustworthy until proven otherwise. If you didn't write the software you're using, assume it's revealing all your secrets until proven otherwise. Act accordingly.

  • My all-time "fuck stupid people and the stupid shit they say and do" chart-topper is nuclear power plants. Fuck every asshole who ever opposed them, and fuck every asshole who opportunistically pretended to oppose them even harder. That single-handedly fucked us hard the moment it started fifty some years ago. Fuck Jane Fonda. Fuck every other celebrity who joined her. Fuck every environmentalist. Fuck every journalist. Fuck every scientist talked to any of them. Fuck every government official who listened to the fearmongers. I hope they're all roasting in hell for fucking human progress so hard. No other single political "choice" has hobbled mankind more than abandoning nuclear power.

If we'd aggressively pursued nuclear power at every possible opportunity instead of just quitting cold-turkey in the seventies, we'd have an entire fleet of modern nuclear reactors scattered all across this country right now. We'd have been energy-independent for half a century (we mostly were anyway, but even more so than now). Air quality would have been improved (and we'd have greater stocks of natural gas and coal reserves). Electricity prices would have been substantially lower. We'd very likely have more advanced, faster, more energy-efficient computers and cars than we do now if near-limitless electricity had been available to practically everyone (at all levels). Nuclear power itself would be far more advanced than it is now given its stunted pace of development thanks to fuckwits.

I get it that a lot of this stuff is just the kind of thing people don't really think about until it gets pointed out, and I understand the "grrrr that makes me angry!" element of it, but god damn people seem talented at choosing the single worst possible angle of attack when they decide "someone ought to DO something about that, dammit!" and it makes me want to fedpost.

ETA:
Why do idiots still think saying “sportsball” is witty?
Because "niggerball" still gets me thrown out of more reputable establishments.

My understanding is that the whole project in China was an intel op to try and get a foothold into some of their protected systems. As in, that was the actual purpose of the research, rather than the results of the research. They built the biolab and sent over researchers just because they knew China couldn't resist saying yes, and then they tried to use that presence for espionage. In the meantime, the Chineees proved why they couldn't build their own lvl4 biolab, by being insanely sloppy and incompetent.

Why is the guy who screams about sportsball doing politics now?
He has been for awhile now. Trump noticed, and called him low iq.

Why do idiots still think saying “sportsball” is witty?
Agreed to a point, I'm fond of tailored terms for each sport.. Like monkey dunk, or nigger felon league and so on.

I am a bit torn, i do feel like it's perfectly reasonable for folks to follow sports, I know I do, but some folks allow the bread and circuses to take over their lives.

They harden in response to physical trauma
Wish we had something besides whiskey for the emotional trauma.

Not sure if folks remember, but jay and fishback had a debate a little while ago and Fishback clearly mopped the floor with jay, to the point jay had a couple moments where he just froze up.

1784650563404.png

Some folks say jay is only running to pull votes away from fishback because they think fishback could beat donalds one on one. I don't like Donalds at all and I distrust him, he's made comments about h1bs, and a few other shitty things I can't remember right now. Jay Collins and Fishback are both equally shit though. Really no good choice there, but from all i've seen donalds will win running away, I think he will clear fifty percent of the vote, but just barely.

following up on a previous post about an attempt to boot Mills on technical notary shit, judge tells him to shove it
local kook Michael Don Johnson (not related to the speaker or the miami vice) has a hateboner for Cory Mills, is trying yet another challenge saying he's ineligible to run because of a notary issue

Judge dismisses lawsuit seeking to remove Rep. Cory Mills from Florida primary ballot

Lawsuit seeking to remove Rep. Mills from primary ballot dismissed

A judge has dismissed a lawsuit seeking to remove U.S. Rep. Cory Mills from Florida's August Republican primary ballot, allowing the incumbent congressman to continue his reelection campaign.

The Brief

    • A judge dismissed a lawsuit seeking to remove Rep. Cory Mills from Florida's August Republican primary ballot.
    • The court ruled the state's ballot eligibility law applies to candidate qualifications, not filing paperwork procedures.
    • Mills remains on the ballot, while his challenger plans to appeal the decision.
ORLANDO, Fla. - A judge has dismissed a lawsuit seeking to remove U.S. Rep. Cory Mills from Florida's August Republican primary ballot.

The ruling allows the incumbent congressman to continue his reelection campaign.

The backstory:

The lawsuit, filed by Republican challenger Michael Johnson, argued Mills should be disqualified because his candidate qualifying paperwork was notarized in Washington, D.C., rather than in Florida. The challenge relied on a recently enacted state law that created a process for questioning a candidate's eligibility to appear on the ballot.

Circuit Court Judge J. Lee Marsh ruled the law applies to constitutional qualifications for office, such as age and residency, rather than procedural issues involving candidate qualifying paperwork. As a result, Mills will remain on the ballot for the Aug. primary.

Mills represents Florida's 7th Congressional District, which includes Seminole County and portions of Volusia County.

The ruling comes as Mills faces a separate investigation by the U.S. House Ethics Committee into allegations involving campaign finance violations and sexual misconduct. He also is the subject of a temporary restraining order obtained by a former girlfriend, who accused him of threatening to release sexually explicit videos of her.

Mills has denied the allegations against him.

Johnson's attorney said the campaign plans to appeal the ruling.

2nd Circuit Court of Appeals says that United States District Court for the District of Vermont should have never released from federal immigration custody Mohsen Mahdawi (born in West Bank, got legal US residency in 2018, Trump tried to get him deported for his views on the Israeli war).

All that shit is Reddit-derived or reddit-level douchebaggery that only serves to paint the one saying it as an easily-led mark.

It’s like wearing a day-glo flag that says “I can’t think for myself, but am sure I’m the smartest guy in the room”, which you are if the room is a special-needs class for those in persistent vegetative states.

Keep telling yourself muh sports is anything other than gambling addiction coupled with nigger worship these days, you ridiculous faggot. Sportsfags will still be cheering as the last bombs fall on our country as long as they can tune in to see one last nigger 1 tackle nigger 2 in homoerotic displays I guess, but I remember when sports was actually fun and wasn't just used as a way to distract retards while their pockets are looted.

But his Jason Voorhees avatar shows he’s TOTALLY edgy and not a sheep! He even got his mommy to buy him a Death Note shirt at Hot Topic so he would stop cutting himself!
Please let us know if this level of MATI causes you to stroke out because it would be so fucking funny.

... Keith Olbermann? You'll be surprised to find out he's STILL doing a podcast. And yes, he's VERY insane.
I always figured Alex Jones was a retard but generally sane, and his public antics were a persona (or at least an exaggeration). Fucktards like Keith Olbermann and Glenn Beck though? Those two faggots are genuinely insane. Their lives will both likely end in gunfire and anyone around them when the time comes will know great suffering at their hands.

I don’t give a fuck about sports, I’m just tired of faggots like you using moronic, played-out words that were never worth saying, let alone repeating and having a massive unearned superiority complex.

You’re too low-IQ to realize that that kind of shit just makes you look like incel-level bitter little bitches crying that people enjoy things you see as beneath you. It’s pathetic sheep behaviour of the intellectually and emotionally stunted, terminally online detritus of society.

You’re just as much of a sheep as those you think you’re above, you just smell slightly different.

Do you have a car?
NO: Imagine being too fucking poor to buy a car
YES: Imagine being so fucking crippled you need a car instead of just traveling the old fashioned way using your own legs

Just kidding! I don't actually think you're either poor or crippled. You're poor, crippled and a fucking moron.
Woah buddy what’s with the thin skin maybe you need to lay off the ignore button if even light banter sets you off into a tard spasm fatpacks wouldn’t have gotten this pissed at a little joke about the ignore feature.

I really think Alex is an example of someone smart who got punched in the head too many times so he acts like a raging chimp from time to time. The "it's just a persona" thing was a court defense but idk I think the dude was really being himself most of the time because of the consistency and escalation - maybe the shilling cheap boner medicines from China and gold were parts of the act, but Alex was coming off as crazy before Infowars was even a thing. Being crazy doesn't exactly mean you're wrong though.

Olbermann and Beck are in a class of their own but I think at least Beck knows that it's time to lay low and go away sometimes, whereas Olbermann is genuinely lolcow tier and will keep airing his retarded views while screeching about people attacking him by calling them stupid until the day he dies.

lol you are really this mad over people using "sportsball" as a catchall term because they don't want to list the multitude of gay sports you are clearly so passionate about?
>incel level
>emotionally stunted
>sheep
You sure do use an awful lot of reddit terms for someone screeching about other people. Have you considered that you're just making yourself MATI over something you claim to not care about?
My views on sports come from them being a distraction apparatus that is used by globohomo to keep witless faggots glued to their TV and cheering on their "team" instead of ever actually doing anything for their country.
Your view seems to come from an impassioned case of the big feels because a random autist on a fucking forum full of autists used a term that rubs you wrong.
Stay mad lol
