Undertale / Deltarune / Toby Fox Discussion

But what kind of guns does Noelle have. Is it a Five-seveN cause she's filthy rich or is it a Urutau cause she's based like that
Rudy owns the 5-7, but we're getting ahead of ourselves; the divorce arc comes after the ambien & wine arc. Noelle seems pretty internet savvy so she probably hangs out on /k/ a lot when Berdly isn't over.

Fun fact: some of the cut sprites from Chapter 5 included different Ralsei haircuts, including a beard one.

Some of y'all already know this video rustled some panties in the Deltatroon fandom, but I wonder what will come about from this video getting increased visibility through YouTube's hype feature.
I hope we will get more based deltarune content on YouTube after the George Floyd video gets more attention

I feel like "From now on" represents a pivot to shit for Chapter 5's story. The song was supposed to be representation of the story taking a more serious narrative shift. But then it got completly trashed and we got another Rude Buster cover, representing yet another "fun adventure" before "the story REALLY becomes serious"

Why the fuck would you name the battle song "From now on" then?

Now I know a lot of people don't have the best opinion of bug fables (I don't understand it, it's genuinely a really good game) but they did the concept way more justice. Once things start getting serious in the story, you stop hearing the usual battle mix and get a new song entirely, and as long as you're not dicking around in the early areas you generally won't hear the early game battle theme again.

Now, the music can't exactly be compared to Toby's, but at least the composer had the balls to take the latter half of the story seriously.

The song is a remix of Chapter 4's dark world theme. I don't know why it would return or why they named it that.

It's a bit surprising how no one in Hometown (that we know of) has guns considering the state Hometown is based on (New Hampshire) is quite lenient with gun laws
That one is easy: Leftards are allergic to guns and will go to retarded lengths to avoid showing them. One of my favorites was how in Citizen Sleeper 2 has an entire solar system without a single firearm... Except for the bad guy, who was blonde to boot, and had two of them, wielded at the same time, derp.
probably because toby is a weeb hes trying to cater to japanese sensibilities. i think guns are taboo in child/teen friendly japanese media
These are Koreans. Japs can still show guns in media, and in fact do so to show shit has hit the fan. Ie: Beastars, where someone stops fucking around and pulls out a gun on someone.

Interdasting. Of course a sprite that makes RAls manly was cut.

Chapter 5 was pretty retarded but it wasn't really as bad as I expected. Aqua and Seth were the only good flowers, though, and most of the other speaking characters in the chapter were passable at best. Aqua is a very basic character but for some reason I never got tired of her gags. Probably the only recurring antagonist I actually wished would stick around. I'd have traded Tenna and Queen for her and Seth to come to hometown without a second thought.
I don't understand all the hype around Flowery, however. I suppose it's just the fandom latching unto their favorite character like they did with Gerson in chapter 4, but anybody who thinks Flowery did something impressive against the Knight is actually deluding themselves just as hard as he was. He lasted, what, two battle rounds? He couldn't even take a single attack (though to be fair to him if the Knight is made entirely of ShadowCrystals and they are fundamentally anti-dark, he was immediately hit with the Deltarune equivalent of the Trvthnvke which obliterated all his stat hax.)
What the fuck is the deal with Kris? Tearing up the Shelter code could have meant his dad being killed or twisted into some soulless weapon, how could he do that to his own father? Hell, he might have let Toriel be taken if Undyne hadn't shown up at the last second to distract the knight. The ending is going to massively recontextualize Kris, and that's great and all but I wish Toby Fox wasn't leaving literally everything until the last possible second.

I assume that the Knight, being Kris's ally, isn't actually going to hurt the people it kidnaps. It could just be getting them out of the way so they can't stop the roaring for all we know.

For all of Kris's issues I don't think he'd be okay with straight up murdering his own parents, but putting them in danger is apparently worth it.

Whatever Kris and the Knight want it's apparently really really fucking important.

My guess is that the shelter is meant to actually be a shelter from the Roaring or something.
Kris's deal with the Knight is, "I'll help you with the Roaring if you keep my family safe somewhere."
Maybe.
I don't know, Kris is a weirdo.
