Problem with Tor exile is that we will lose users in process and what is bigger issue is that it will significantly reduce amount of new users comming in. So if we are stuck on Tor permanently we will eventually wither due to attrition.
So yeah farms can survive on Tor for time. But to thrive it needs to maintain atleast some presence on clearnet

The site offers a shit ton of things other sites like reddit and 4chan don't offer:

-I can say nigger without getting banned and having to look at porn/loli images. 4chan has a broken as fuck captcha system that won't let me comment now. I'm not using the sharty either

-The site has replaced 4chan in terms of infamy/fame, people will always being coming in due to curiosity like what happened with 4chan back in the day.

-The site because of it's accuracy on information has been popular for several youtubers who have cited the site in the past.

Adding a barrier to entry isn't admitting defeat. If people like the site and pay for it, it will stay up in the long run and will grow through other ways.
