These people believe in pre-NEP USSR 'there is no money or bills', it's just all.. free. The marxism is so pure, much like islamics think, they will be such a utopia just for their ideology all 'bills', and debts and work and so on won't be needed and it'll be instant star trek style post-scarcity one they get their power.

They're not worried about any reality at all. It's been tried before, numerous times too. This isn't new. Read Trotsky at a min to get their ideas, 100 years ago this was peddled before endlessly.
These people are even dumber than I thought. If a country forgoes its currency, it lacks a serious tool to trade with. It’s why any nation wanting to be recognized as sovereign has a currency. In theory, like most Marxist philosophies end up being, you can have a cashless society, but value will still be attributed to various objects, and used for trade instead, which makes it act as a currency. Gold will likely be valuable in even a cashless society because of its many uses, and the fact that it doesn’t tarnish easily.

But, the big spoiler in NYC was that asshole Sliwla. The Stacy Abrams and Beto of pro style fund raise with no real intentions to get rich quick. They'd have been better off with Cuomo, crazy enough but he spoiled it.
Cuomo was the spoiler. He lost his primary. Sliwla won his. Cuomo and Mamdani share 99% of their policies; their only real difference is which client groups they support. The city would have continued to decline no matter which Democrat was elected.

ETA: BTW this isn't a 'joke' it's what they think and have done.
The DSA members believe that but their voters only care about ethnicity.

They’re gaining power because the “old” ethnic blocks (Jews and blacks) that the establishment Dems used to get elected are declining while new ones (Asians and Muslims) that the DSA panders to are growing.

This has been how the Left has won power since the days of Tammany Hall.

I hate 'money'. I hate the idea of a 'store of wealth' that's also the 'method of exchange' that's up to market forces. But it's reality, and there's no better system. Even with Star Trek replicators there'd have to be some way to distribute works of old art or something. You can't have more than 1 original Mona Lisa to give around.

You'd end up back to a form of barter, which sucks on those types of things. Marx himself thought automation was making human labor obsolete (we're hearing that now with AI too, it'll just be moved around and some will fall out).

AI/robots/space may reduce the need somewhat, but there will always been limits and a need of 'value' that won't be 'equal'. People aren't 'equal'.

This illusion of 'people are equal' when we know they obviously aren't, between and across individuals, races, and genders is a major problem holding humanity in a bad zone. The acceptance of the difference of abilities is a hard roadblock.

ETA and you gotta remember, fiat currency is no different really than crypto, which are a bunch of people salivating over a bunch of SHA-256 solution results off somewhere you can 'own'. It's all angels on a pin counting. For most people 'money' is just a number that shows up on a website that they can send like an email to another person that'll have that number. And people will kill and die for those numbers because everyone's a bunch of suckers.

And the most materialist of all aren't the capitalists (I know materialism in marxism sense means non-religion mostly, but also just flat out commodities. It's all the same to them), they are the socialists and communists which presume to replace economic power with political domination. At least with economic power there's some hint that there's value behind it.

Marx made a lot of stupid predictions that have been forgotten about. My most recent interaction with Marx's writing was him having the retard theory that because of the Taiping Civil War in China, the price of tea would rise to the point the proletariat would rebel and a communist revolution would happen in England.

Everything he said was stupid almost. It drives me nuts most 'lists of non-religious figures ever) has him at top. I guess maybe, but they don't say how bad it is. Look into his ideas on early man.

This is some crazy ass shit, they knew nothing of how pre-history and especially New World societies worked in his time, but they pontificated about it forever.

There’s a whole subset of history called “Marxist history,” which has an extremely binary world view. There always has to be an oppressor and the oppressed, with little room for nuance. About the only thing it’s useful for is helping make the study of the common person’s life more popular, instead of focusing on the “great man” history. You can also just be a social historian for that (without having to abide by Marxist ideology). I remember having to learn about it in a masters program once, and found it incredibly flawed. You have to take out a lot of historical context for Marxist history to make logical sense, as it often fails to acknowledge the people that would be considered “middle class” or don’t neatly fit into the worker/bourgeoisie dynamic.

The main problem is that Marxism, to me, focuses entirely on a very brief and localized system. Feudalism, as the historical boogeyman, which nobody really cares about anymore. It discounted mercantilism as any benefit, and then goes on endless about the bourgeoise as the enemy. The funny thing is socialists always bash targeting groups, unless it's the groups they target as pure evil. Class, white men, billionaires, doesn't matter. They always have to have a boogeyman.

If some people over here don’t love Mike Lee that’s fine, but this is kind of a banger
For me, it's the local Olive Garden. Packed into the family car with dad driving and mom resting in the passenger seat. The kids anxiously kicking around the back. There is a powerful bonding on the way to that Italian eatery. The whole family uniting in a singular quest. Tonight we dine. Pulling into the enormous parking lot, the atmosphere begs to be absorbed. A Macy's mall in the background, and a Red Lobster across the street. All of this is of course framed by the beacon that is the Olive Garden restaurant itself. A community staple in fine dining. A plump line has already begun winding out the door, groups of 5 each huddled around their remote buzzer. Occasionally a cry will go out as a vibration comes from the electronic device. A scream of joy. That family has been chosen. They cry tears of gratitude as a virginal waitress brings them swiftly into the eatery. Passing only the finest arts from the Mediterranean. Frescos and bottles of wine from local vineyards. Sinatra sings softly over the built in speakers. Large tables enjoying only the most quality pastas and salads. Taking a seat, a calm washes over everyone in the group. This is just so right. So perfectly correct. It's as if they had been transported to Naples as they pushed their chairs up to the table.

New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani stated his intent to pursue the arrest of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu upon his expected arrival for the United Nations General Assembly in September — The New York Times

➡️ Mamdani indicated that he is currently in "active dialogue" with the city's legal department to determine if he possesses the formal authority to direct the New York Police Department to detain a visiting foreign leader.

Do it, Mamdani! I want a joint Delta Force/Mossad strike team to bust into Rikers and rescue Bibi.

Don't think he has the guts.

He has zero authority to actually do it, and would probably be grounds for removing him from office if he tries. It’s an immediate international crisis if he attempts it

It'd probably result in a total disaster for him but no one could deny his bravery or stupidity if Mamdani went through with it.

Since Trump's announcement this story is making the rounds again albeit in a much larger fashion this time around. Apparently a Chinese-American guy was arrested in LA in 2022 for grand theft by embezzlement and conspiracy to commit a crime. He supposedly ran an election software company, repeatedly denied having stored data outside the US, only to be found storing data in China.
Nothing happened and California even paid him millions of dollars.

I'm sure the documents the ChiComs burned when the Houston consulate was closed had nothing to do with elections.

So what's the plan once they get him in cuffs? The feds control the airports and coast guard would lock down the waterways, so good luck getting him to the Netherlands. Also arresting a world leader on official buisness in the US on warrants from an unrecognized foreign entity is absolutely unfathomable and anyone even remotely involved would be absolutely fucked legally assuming they aren't hanged for treason for acting against the US on behalf of a foreign authority.

Seems like the FBI, and likely the Trump administration as a whole, is complicit in the impending death of the Farms.

Friendly reminder that Kash Patel has openly stated that he wants to repeal Section 230 following the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Alright @Fatpacks your behavior during Torbunker comfy hours was absolutely atrocious, even the lads at the FBI field office are roasting you in the group chat rn, you're not allowed to come to the glowie BBQ today, sorry not sorry
