By this I mean that you may ingratiate yourself in politics, if perhaps there are not other venues.
When there are a "Gang" of democrat voting pedophiles attempting to censor their crimes, this is very sympathetic to some circles. When these people are supported by democrat voting "Big Tech Bros", this is politically useful.
This means compromising in some ways, but this is the "ordinary" path forward.

To be less helpful, I do suspect the required infrastructure to mimic WAF is less priced than "Tends of Thousands of Dollars per Month", but I do not know about the attack. But maybe you cannot rent from a cloud provider.
Edited to expand: I cannot really go in to detail on this, but there are real options for self-hosted DDoS mitigation with large but not incredible budget. To edit again, I think you are stuck in Layer 7 against Tbits? In this case it is difficult but I think not impossible with creativity. If you can examine the nature of the attack there can be solutions to increase the cost to attacker.

Lots of features are disable in Tor by default, for security and anonymity. Rule of thumb for dark web browsing is having your JS off unless you really know what you're doing

The PoW isn't the issue. All the reverse proxies are being taken offline. The fact you can post on Tor is proof of that.

Either way, I need to thank you Josh for all your valiant efforts over the past decades in keeping this website (one of the last main bastions of the OG internet) alive, something that's painfully dear to my heart (and which I genuinely cannot imagine losing as well). I might be a newfag who joined the forum in the middle of this decade, but my sentiment and love for this forum beats as loudly as any oldfag who joined it in the early 2010s. I will be sure to support this forum in the best way I can in the foreseeable future (that Kiwi Gold will one day be mine) as my own way of doing my part in protecting internet history (something of upmost importance in these dark times), and I'll forever be grateful to this forum (and its wonderful autists) for truly making it great, as one of the last bastions of free-speech in the history of mankind.
