The only real thing China has going for it is manufacturing (not the cheap bottom barrel stuff, talking real products) and their open source AI models. China is better than the US at AI because their government subsidies it and didn't build it on a stock market house of cards. The AI correction for the US is going to be ugly, possibly recession, but the US will weather it. A nosedive in the US economy doesn't solve any of the strong domestic headwinds China is facing.
