This is about "femboys", so not quite troons, but very much adjacent:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=rE5vU-BovlQThe woman who made this is incredibly naive. Like, dangerously so.
It's not video games or anime. It's also not linked to established historical trends around changing definitions of masculinity and gender roles.
Every self-described "femboy" I've ever seen has had an aesthetic that I would describe as almost self-evidently seedy. Clearly self-gratifying. A bit unsavoury. It's a form of femininity that would be produced by someone who fetishises femininity.
...Let's cut the bullshit. It's because of pornography. They're doing it to get off. You don't have to make cutesy video essays defending that.
Even if you compare femboys to, say, drag queens, there's an obvious difference in underlying motivation which is reflected in the outward presentation.
The funny thing is that a few people have voiced this in the comments. The replies are extremely Reddit-coded.

"You know, I can't help but strongly suspect these men who you're carrying water for, who otherwise have heavily male-coded interests and behaviours but are dressing up in skimpy porn parodies of women's clothing, might not in fact have the most tasteful motivations for their actions."
"Um... source? Where's your citations? Can I see your academic qualifications for that claim?"
