I found Rouxls funny in Chapter 1 but rather annoying but still funny in Chapter 2 and INFURIATING in Chapter 3.
In my theoretical rewrite, Kris would just hide the rules card in his locker before leaving the school in Chapter 2. (Remember that Chapter 3 happens immediately after they fall asleep a th end of Chapter 2).

I just stumbled on this thread, and all I can say is thank God I didn't play this game past the first chapter when it came out 8 years ago.

This guy really should of stuck to Chapter 1 only. I'm very glad he had no cameos in Chapter 4 and 5. He really ruined the subplot with the weather duo. Instead of getting a true rematch with them in a themed news station area, we get a dumb gimmick fight with Rouxls Kaard and Lancer. Pissed me off since I actually was liking the weather duo before that.
 
The fact I didn't think about Rouslx literally ANY of the time I was playing chap 5 speaks to how his bit ran its course by the time of chapter 3 ("it didn't work" was pretty good, though), the bloated cast of chap 5 would've made seeing him even more insufferable, it would've been funny for Aqua to stab him though. Also about that flower gender stuff earlier, I don't actually have a problem with Seth being some they/them thing because there's no way in hell any of the planteners aside from maybe Blue and Yellow went out of the way to give themselves genitals, I feel like there's a lot more leeway for pronoun shit when it comes to characters that can literally change their forms.
 
Everyone wants to make the weird route about being an evil guy who does evil things an grooms the deer girl, but I actually think it's a lot more morally complex than that.

Hear me out on this. So we know from the Ch 5. weird route that the "prophecy", which is just kinda interchangeable with the game at this point, is some sort of self-correcting, this is implied by the fact that if you do not mash proceed, and Kris and Noelle drown in the lake; we then we get the "nothing changed" speech. Implying Noelle and Kris were snapped back to where they were "meant to be" in the game world. It kinda seems like Noelle already knows this, because of how fervently she jumps at the opportunity for change.

To me, this actually introduces an interesting moral question to the weird route: If Noelle has been driven completely insane by the fact that they can see the prison around them, and the weird route provides a better ending for them, wouldn't it be wrong to deny her that?

I do think the weird route is well written, Toby still has time to fuck it all up mind you, but I don't think Toby is as bad of a writer as people say he is.
 
If the weird route ends up being the only way to actually save the world from being destroyed I'm going to laugh

This game is 'ssential 'rooncore no matter how much "chuddy" things people in this thread try to dig in it (Making things up like the 'roons do o algo). The plot is incoherent already, but all the explicit elements were clearly the writer's attempt to shock the player and drive up the stakes, which fails because it's not executed well and doesn't go well with the overall tone (It constantly alternates between funny chungus RPG and serious teen drama with rape and TND). You're eating from the same goyslop trought that the trannies do.

It's like everyone forgot what Undertale was when Deltarune became more popular - UD was written by Toby Fox alone, and contained the same issues (And gay shit), right now it's amplified because he hired likeminded and similarly talentless trannies to write with him.

Half of the thread also uses our beautiful 'oyspeak and basically does this (Especially Krusie posters):

You can't save troonslop from being troonslop. The main audience is 'cord and reddit users anyway.

He overstayed his welcome.
His and Lancer's appearance in ch2 served a purpose to show that darkners can't stay outside of their dark worlds for long, with the exception of Ralsei's dark world.
And then ch3 comes out and that rule is selectively ignored.
He should've just stayed in Dark World, trying to become a toady of whomever had the most authority, after Ralsei, to get back at the gang.
 
Kind of weird how Lancer went from being an important friend to Susie to barely being thought in her little brain. I guess since she has a TRUE and HONEST girlfriend her darkner friends mean less to her now?
