Which is fine for economies like Germany and France, but countries whose main industries are shipping and tourism (like Greece and Portugal) are fucked.
I also used to think "anything goes, between consenting adults", but then saw people justifying domestic violence and basically outsourcing self harm and calling it BDSM, and saw how porn rots gooners' brains and how the demand far exceeds the supply, so people (usually women and kids) get trafficked into the industry. I do believe the richest nation in the history of humanity should ensure no child of her's goes hungry and that ensuring her people are healthy. I was more free-wheeling when I did not have adult responsibilities to be mindful of. Different people require different forms of government. Dictatorships work in Africa. The people still starve, but there is a semblance of order. They would not work in America. The system America has works for the US, for better or worse. Changing systems of government to democracy as was done in the 20th century to most of the world did not work. This is the one take I dislike the most from older people. It never comes from their peers. I'm in my early 30s and I've had a decade or so worth of time to fuck around and find out. I wouldn't mind UBI personally, but we cannot and should not have it on top of SSI, SNAP, WIC, Unemployment, Medicare .etc because that is simply too damn much. And if we did have UBI, it would be a tall ceiling to earn the privilege of having it. It is UBI or we have fewer social welfare programs.
