Was Phil directly involved with Raw Phil getting banned on Youtube?

This isn't similar to Quartering getting KC banned. Raw Phil just straight restreamed DSP every single stream and it could have easily been rightfully stopped it at any time.

Plus, Phil doesn't need more attention. It would just lead to him getting more money, and this board would get annoying for another few days with tourists doing their usual uninformed drivel.

I wish detractors would use this to test the theory that Phil NEEDS detractors in order to keep making a comfy living, but rainbows, that's never going to happen.

I put in a submission but honestly its not really big news. If DSPgaming got banned that would be a feature. Also most other users who arent on the Phil thread don't really like this board lol.

I think most people are just happy it's being used for something other than World Cup news.
 
and i was JUST thinking recently "whatever happened to his recent post-CT trip threatening litigation?" and boom raw phil is raped out of existence. what i find funny about this is that Phil is deluded enough to think the views restreamers get are HIS views and if they all got nuked they'd have no choice but to suffah watching him on his official channel. the viewing numbers will be a bit higher today for sure but we know it's not going to last long.

Raw Phil was never fair use. He was blatantly ripping off Phil, but took advantage of DSP's laziness and general nonconfrontational/cowardly nature

I raise you Sargon va Akila Obviously. Sargon ripped a clip and uploaded it without commentary and just titled it "Delusion of a left winger". The judge sided with Sargon arguing that Sargon's audience would never watch Akila's videos and that he transformed it enough with just the title. Of course that was only a clip not the entire thing but there is precedence. Of course we would need a full-fledged lawsuit to actually get a result

Well that's the other thing isn't it? Phil is stupid. If people had no way to watch Phil without going to him, most wouldn't go to his channel unless they were already dentractors who were doing that anyway. No reasonable person would watch Phil's own streams regularly. They'd go watch something else.

my pigga, if theres one thing that is indeed right is that if you watched raw phil, you were essentialy a phil viewer being counted somewhere else, except you had a different chat to talk.
I only watch restreamers because I need someone else talking over him to keep me from going dented

raw phil will be missed though. F

Two things there are 1) Ethan’s own words/case for fair use fucked him and 2) any restreamer showing more than just Phil’s stream could argue they are adding context.

I think Phil having inconsistent thoughts on restreamers, especially quotes from videos on his own channel, could easily be weaponized against him, and a lawyer could make a case that having chat archives on the screen along with the time stamp is providing additional context and information to what Phil streams. If somebody was really feeling froggy, it could be argued that the chat is needed because the streamer himself is not an honest actor and routinely makes up stuff.

That's why I think that copyright strikes from Phil would be useless or hypocritical since you have to protect your copyright at all times or grant a "reactor" your permission (like Ethan did with Hassan). But as Denims showed you could win a lawsuit by just countering (unlke Jibaba the hut or Kacey the Stoned)
