Not gonna lie, gatekeeping the Rare Candy account and then publishing the total amount he'd spent over the course of, say, 6 months, would have been way funnier than DSP finding out immediately and ruining the joke.

Taking into account what @shekelshoah666 said about Phil poisioning the well so to speak, I imported everything into a spreadsheet and removed everything that looked suspicious (they are in italics). The new total comes out to $3107.81 which seems much more reasonable. Mind you, that's only the card value, he spent $2k on boxes on stream so at minimum (assuming he outright bought the cards) he's $5k in the hole if not more.

My knowledge of Pokemon TCG is nil though so take it with a grain of salt, I attached the sheet in case anyone more knowledgeable wants to play with the numbers.

Maybe I'm the dent here but I don't think Phil adding "random cards" to fuck with the detractors holds water. Unless he's pointedly seeking out Japanese cards as well from other sets (that also seems to coincide with when he decided to focus on Abyss Eye), anyway. I also noticed he has duplicates of really inexpensive cards which could mean he either re-scanned them because he's a boomer or he got another and included it in his portfolio. I would think that, if he was trying to throw people off, he would just add some of the highest value cards from each set he's talked about. This looks exactly like he went to TCGPlayer and bought a bunch of damaged singles to own the detractors (somehow) or near mint singles for a retirement plan.

Saw this on Meerkat's stream, someone found Phil's Rare Candy profile which was confirmed by the Jamming Tower he just scanned on stream getting added. It explains a lot, like why he is so weird about opening his binders or the "bulk" codes he got on "discount". For fucks sake, last night he "pulled" $500 Reshiram ex offstream. The addiction is real and possibly far worse than any of us could've imagined.

Like, actually had to be damn near ten minutes. Could have just ignored the question, but instead he can’t resist reflexively lashing out over it.

It’s always fun to watch his pretense as this chill pahsative matoor guy completely melt away and be replaced by the hissing of a rabid ferret as soon as anyone suggest he dedicate one of his streams to anything but making himself lots of money.

The Dark Souls 2 playthrough is a strong reminder as to what DSP has always been about: Being unnaturally bad at video games, scamming dents out of their money while lying about the purpose, and most importantly of all, getting trolled. This DSP Remastered season really just needs to be capped off with a TiHYDP(that is UNDER one hour, thank you 0utsyder) to be complete.
