Thoughts on this? I'd say its 50/50. Theres tons of illegals and browns in the country, but the labor market has been stagnant for months for my college educated friends, and no these are not ones with retarded degrees either. I think there's a sort of unspoken understanding that AI is changing everything and people don't really want to fully commit to a job that won't be there in a year, and also anticipating some kind of UBI or just other bullshit jobs to replace them.

Also i'm not sure if "labor force participation" includes freelancers because if not then I haven't had a "job" for 5 years and i've made a killing in that time working basically 20 hours a week from my home office on whatever hours I choose. Maybe people are just realizing jobs are kind of gay if you have other options.
