There is a bais though if the primary is basically a popularity contest and it favors the most radical candidate, especially in places with closed primaries. having a mechanism to put that in check honestly makes sense. What’s the point of a shotgun? Like, first, where you put it? The video appears to have been taken off of YouTube now, but several years ago, Kris Paranto did an overview of the AR-15 that he'd taken downrange. Other than a pretty basic scope addition, it didn't really have anything other than stock parts.

Whenever I see vids promoting these supposed super-advanced tech additions to firearms, I tend to assume that the presenter is just getting paid to promote it, rather than it being something that's really going to improve your accuracy. The only thing that's 100% guaranteed to do that is persistent and ongoing range time.

We get both of them running the country for eight years, and the optics are that Rubio is moving closer to the Presidency, which doesn't diminish him for future runs, and then we get a Rubio run and 8 years there. If people really love Rubio and want to Rubio max, then him as VP is the way to go. You get 16 years instead of eight.

If Rubio is the candidate, then any place Vance is given looks like a demotion, and he's out of the picture politically. He could run for governor somewhere, but it's going to look like he's been put out to pasture rather than being a path to the presidency.
