This can backfire, at least in congress. Aren’t a lot of those CA transplants? As long as it doesn’t outright flip the state, sure it’s good for the electoral college, but the increase in congressional seats is only as good as the map.

I have once seen a poll that showed majority of people moving to red states were republicians, and vice versa for blue states. Although it is impossible to measure it correctly.

Anecdotally, NONE of the libtards I've met or know today would be caught dead living in a red state, and I've seen them chastising (shortsightedly) people who do move to them. I think you also have a small but unaccounted for group of people who will transition into purple or even sometimes red voters simply by seeing how bad the blue shithole they were in was in comparison to their new home.

If you have an admiral or congressmen for a father, then you get away with just about anything in the military. You can get metals for "intentionally" running your boat out of gas and abandoning your command to save yourself (Kennedy), or bailing out of your aircraft leaving your crew to die (Bush), or get a safe shore job after you got shot at (John Kerry).
Being kidnapped by your own generals that want you to ally with communists in order to fight an outside threat can make fighting them a little difficult but besides that, yes communists are a problem.
