I think Vance vs. Newsom in particular would end up being a massacre in the former's favor. If you think about it Vance pretty much is the perfect anti-Newsom: born into a broken home of 'white trash', climbed out of poverty & the shadow of his then-drug-addicted mother, joined the military and eventually ended up becoming a Senator & VP. Newsom meanwhile is the scion of a political dynasty, nephew to Nancy Pelosi, never knew serious difficulty or really anything resembling real discomfort & poverty for as long as he's been alive and for all that he's still managed to run Cali into the ground over the course of his political career.
