‘Super’ El Niño building off the coast may bring Seattle its first muggy, humid summer in a generation

The Pacific off our coast is running hotter than it has in years. A strong, possibly historic El Niño is loading up in the tropical Pacific. Together they’re set to drop something on Seattle this summer most of us have never lived through: Muggy nights, sticky afternoons, and air that refuses to cool down after the sun goes off.

Los Angeles and San Diego could see “downright tropical dewpoints” by late summer, Swain said. Seattle won’t get tropical, but we’ll get the milder cousin of the same system, layered on top of a city that handles humid heat about as well as San Diego handles snow.

He ruined his natural hormones through steroid abuse. I think he can't even produce testosteron naturally now.
It's actually worse, using anabolics during puberty is one of the most retarded actions you can take. It fucks over natural development of the body also the brain as well. No one recommends anabolics before 22-25 for a reason.

I like both Rubio and him and would like them to run together, but it seems like they dont want it.
People keep parroting this for no reason. Why would they not want it?
Why would Rubio not want to be President or VP
It's quite literally what he's been working towards his whole life
The dude is doing 10 jobs right now, you think he's scared to be president?

Also the reports have always been that Rubio and Vance work closely together and are friends
Then people like you come on the internet and say they dont like each other like source: i made it the fuck up

I swear i've seen you mention support of him before, if i'm wrong my bad. Dude is a nasty fucking piece of work.
I don't support him because he's a stupid thug who thinks he's a gunslinger.

Smotrich is the dangerous one. Ben Gvir is a clown.

Hezbollah started attacking Israel again so let's see what happens.

I don't trust the left not to fake photos of it damaged for clout.

I don't trust the left not to actually damage it for clout.

I don't trust the left in general, but their current not-a-religion is such that they literally can't let Trump have a win, any win, because to do so would be heresy.

Is the pool not fixed properly? Well, it's fucking huge, so a small ding here and there is probably not unreasonable. It's not like they can't drain it and do a few additional fixes if there is say, actual damage there and not a leftyfag tossing a cup of blue dye in or stabbing it with a pole to damage it 5 minutes before the photo.
Does flex seal come in blue? Might not even need to drain it

That may be, but the reason people are calling it a bad year is because it’s Trumps final term, Democrats are hungry & ruthless, & who can follow Trump? Him?

I really hope our country can keep momentum going forward to benefit US citizens. Memory gets really short, to the point where all the moderates who found Trump appealing have almost forgotten why they voted for him, or haven’t seen enough progress in the face of Iran.

This is true enough to matter, but like most things in politics, it’s a double edged sword. Some people like him for that history, and notice how he’s been reinventing himself in the Trump administration. I’m not sold on Rubio or Vance. Especially Vance. He’d have to do some magical shit to appeal to the moderates. I’m thinking in terms of who could win, btw, not my personal take on who I like.
I think nobody can "follow" Trump. I think they will have to make their own way. I think a lot of the stuff that matters right now in 2026 won't in 2028. I say that because I look at 2024. Much of the deciding factors for those not already locked in was election year. Vance or Rubio even has that much time to start campaigning and making a name for themselves. They will need to get serious by 2028

Anhedonia is fucking scary.
My dog died one day and after we buried him a friend offered one of their wife's Xanax to help me sleep that night. That night we have a tornado warning with the rotational system pointed straight in my direction; I don't know how much was the stress and grief or how much of it was the barbituate but It's sort of scary looking back at how unafraid I was despite growing up in terrible fear of tornadoes as a child. I went and fetched the cats calmly while everyone was yelling at me to get under the basement stairs. Fortunately the rotation did not turn into a tornado but it's kind of scary feeling like Fry on his 300th coffee from that one episode of Futurama.

I'd suspect the ticket to be vance - rubio.
this seems like common sense imo

I can't really think of who else in the GOP has a shot at the nomination.
There's desantis, who i think is awesome, but I think he just comes off as too autistic to win a presidential election.
Vance and Rubio are both good speakers/debaters which is a key part to running national elections.
They have a certain charisma that desantis lacks for whatever reason (i guess it's an 'it factor' thing).

Moving past those options I'm not quite sure who else would run for the GOP nominee/have a chance of winning it.
There aren't really a ton of big GOP names that scream 'presidential contender'.
See, that’s the thing that makes 2028 a rough year, people automatically think, “oh, maybe Vance & Rubio?” But there is no way Rubio would VP for plucked out of nowhere Vance. Also, doubt Vance would VP again. Vance needs more seasoning, most people don’t know him yet. I like DeSantis, he could maybe make a dent, but he’d have a similar problem to Vance in his appeal to moderates, unfortunately. The more I think about it, the more the GOP ticket needs someone with a very moderate history as well as someone who’s committed to continuing to help Americans.

He's just autistic. Unironically.
Desantis won a debate against Gavin newsoom

Didn't Rubio also say he would not run against Vance if Vance chose to go for it? Sounds like a possible VP grab to me, something Trump has spoken positively of, saying they'd be unbeatable together.

They've both just said it's not something they're focusing on right now because they have work to do which is smart - if it's a shit set up it's probably wise not to commit until the landscape is clearer. And to emphasize your priorities are on your job not ladder climbing, even if you are considering it.

As a minor aside, immigrants also pay social security/medicare/medicaid taxes while not being entitled to any of those benefits IN THEORY (as they are citizen benefits). Those 3 are the biggest drains on the national budget by far, so having people pay into them and not have to give them anything back is actually a great deal for the government, and also adds on to keeping taxes low.
Even if that's the case, many of them are on welfare services like affordable housing, food stamps, even subsided benefits. Also, the immigrants the Democrats like to prop up as future doctors, technicians, scientists, whatever; news flash, they're rapists, gang members, human traffickers, fraudsters, even cannibals. I don't want to hear that crap anymore.

Will either of them really want to go up against Newsom? Moderates are starting to find that the same problems they had under Biden are the same under Trump. Vance can try pass himself as the younger and sharper candidate but Newsom will be right there and sharper.
