I think nobody can "follow" Trump. I think they will have to make their own way. I think a lot of the stuff that matters right now in 2026 won't in 2028. I say that because I look at 2024. Much of the deciding factors for those not already locked in was election year. Vance or Rubio even has that much time to start campaigning and making a name for themselves. They will need to get serious by 2028

Also, doubt Vance would VP again. Vance needs more seasoning, most people don’t know him yet. I like DeSantis, he could maybe make a dent, but he’d have a similar problem to Vance in his appeal to moderates, unfortunately.
