Went to Target with my dad the other day. We passed by an endcap full of MrBeast toys and a kid talking to his mom about it. I made a comment to him about how terrifying Jimmy's smile is due to there being absolutely nothing behind those eyes. He said "That's AI for ya." I asked what he was talking about and he genuinely doesn't believe Jimmy is real. He is 100% convinced Jimmy is AI and his mind can't be changed on that. He's a 69yo boomer who extrapolates "not everything you see online is real" to "nothing you see online is real" (it's only true if he finds it)

My tech-savvy IT guy dad believes Jimmy is AI.

Well, I just managed to convince my dad MrBeast was real. the evidence that changed his mind? The fact that Jimmy is involved in various ongoing legal problems.

Jimmy has always produced slop. Hell, some of his first videos were him counting to a really high number or repeating a phrase over and over for no reason. His videos always have been slop. There's a reason why even other content creators think he's crazy, because Jimmy is deranged by any reasonable standard.

I saw the video. It was basically him and his friends spending time digging an ice cave, skiing, sleeping in icy temperatures and nearly getting frostbite. Their only food are Feastables and they only decide to go fishing like three days in, which feels pretty late for a survival challenge. Classic Jimmy was extravagant but still grounded in normalcy. This is just corporate Jimmy through and through.

I looked at the comments under it on X and felt I was in a parallel universe where it's apparently perfectly normal for people to have what trash is in their car dictated by their boss. None of it sounds remotely ok, but the bit that got me was the fact they're not meant to have PACKAGING from food he's not allowed to eat near him or have him be near it. And then people on X are saying this is fine and reasonable. I get if you work for this sociopath you get what you deserve, but seeing people defend this because "he has Crohn's" is wild. I know people with Crohn's, they don't ask this from people and if an employer started trying to tell me what I'm allowed to eat on my own time with my own money, I would walk. This is insane.
