Since we're already at something comically big for a bike path, unworkable on a sidewalk, extremely dangerous on a road, and unusable whenever it's cold or hot or raining or snowing, and doing so with an electric motor that probably doesn't have great range, here is a sample price for a used Nissan Leaf:
You could buy two of them and have enough leftover for a burger combo. And not get rain on you and your kids.

I don't get why urbanists are so obsessed with the idea of cycling to the grocery store anyways. Even with a cargo bike you are not able to get in enough groceries to feed a household that has more than 1 child. Also the netherlands has like 9 billion different supermarkets and all of them have their own pros and cons which you tend to account for by just getting certain groceries from certain stores and driving to like 3 stores for a full grocery trip. At least that is what my mom did (I personally just get everything from the nearest Albert Heijn because I'm lazy). That'd be absolutely impossible to do on a bike.
I did go to the grocery with my bike... when I was a student. And only for a short period of time because I found a cheaper store at walking distance + there was an association that provided a basket of unsold fruits and vegetables for very cheap.
Which confort me in thinking these so-called urbanist just want eternal middle class youth student life, because I also don't hear them a lot about helping programs & communities either I'm truly grateful to them.
Cargo bikers are the final form of cyclist. Cargo bikes are insanely expensive, too slow for the street and too big for sidewalks, they're worthless at transporting anything of real value and are just a sort of symbol to show people you're a progressive bellend
It's not just that. There's a lot of talk on this thread pointing out that no one uses a cargo bike, it's just a cheap argument when someone brings up what a car can do and a regular bicycle cannot (it's never their own cargo bike, it's always just a stock picture). The bigger issue with cargo bikes is that their own view of things exclude cargo bikes. Remember, they pride themselves on how little space a bicycle takes to store versus a car. If they found a situation where a cargo bike took up extra space in bike parking space they'd go apeshit.
Plus, we already see that despite hating the idea of any vehicles going through their precious cities, they HATE the UPS cargo bikes going through bike lanes, despite claiming that's what they wanted to see more of.

Imagine doing so much steroids you have no neck and the only muscle you have is in your thighs, all so you have to ride around in circles or behind a car so you can pretend you are a moped. Pathetic eurocuckery of a sport.
If you are wearing a cap and speedos to swim laps at the Y I have bad news for you. Anyone who thinks they need to play dress up to exercise just wants an excuse to not exercise.
