There was something sexless about her in Voyager, despite the lycra suit and big tits. She was basically as sexless as Janeway. Then you'd see her in something like Boston Legal and she hit differently.

There's a line about a character (I think in Wilde's The Portrait of Dorian Gray) that "she had the sort of beauty that did not require youth to recommend it" and that has stayed with me. There's a fresh glamour to youth that once gone, you can see if someone is truly beautiful.

I think it's for a few reasons. One is that I am older myself now so I like older people as well. You want someone you can be on a level with. Though obviously that only accounts for why I might like someone older now, not why I might not like someone younger when I was younger. But reason two is that people grow into themselves more and are allowed to be themselves more - either they just gain the confidence to be or the pressure once you're no longer young is lessened. She has aged really well. Perhaps there are fewer people who look really good at her age so when you see one you notice more ( what age is she? Born around 67-68?she’s late fifties I think?) and even fewer in Hollywood who have aged well and aren’t bogged with plastic surgery. She looks good still, and if she’s had work done it’s subtle enough. Hollywood even bogs the men now, they all look uncanny, what happened to ageing gracefully.

Of course not, because casting directors have been obsessed with including brownoids, fat niggresses, and almost nothing but ugly women for the last ten years. And because their generation is unusually repulsive due to its sedentary, indoor nature and "body positivity".
Anyway, I thought this woman was gorgeous when she was on the X-Files in the 90's, and then she popped up decades later on The Boys, still hot.
I should check on some other crumpets and see if they’re still hanging on, or if they're finally busted.

She's been doing TV since 2000 but didn’t get a real lead role till 2020. I think her height has something to do with that. Most male actors are like 5'7". You couldn’t put a 6-foot woman on TV until recently or it would’ve been too obvious who the top was.
