It wasn't that long ago the party line was that gender roles are bad and it's okay for boys to act traditionally feminine and women to act traditionally masculine. The thing is if has nothing to do with "gender stereotypes" then why is it even called gender dysphoria? Even when you question some TIMs as to why they think they're women, sometimes they'll reply by saying "All I know is that I wanted a vagina" which has nothing to do with gender. (unless they think vaginas are social constructs which would be insane) Either way, most of the TIPs I know always seem to give very vague reasons as to why they think they're trans and a large portion admitted to having autism.
