Two 8-month-old pit bulls that were loose in Nanaimo attacked several children, severely injuring at least one. Other people that came to aid the children were also injured.

The children were playing in a yard at the house of one of their friends. The dogs were from somewhere else in the neighborhood and had been cited for being at large previously.

One of the owners of the dogs came and got the dogs but did not stick around. The news interviewed the other owner, a Dangerhair that looked to be in her late 40s or early 50s. While she was devastated at what her dogs had done, she said to the reporter, "People are saying, look at this from the prospective of a parent, well, these dogs are my kids, too," and then she broke down crying.

It was later reported both dogs were euthanized, as there have been other incidents prior to this one, and due to the severity of the injuries the one particular child sustained.

To the dangerhair dog owner I would have to say, "If these dogs were your KIDS, you did a lousy job of raising them. Thank heavens you didn't spawn any of your own."

They shouldn't be allowed to wander and should be kept indoors or at least in a safe outdoor cage. These measures won't stop a shitbull from tearing through wire, glass and wood to murder them though.

Well there IS a difference between people out in the country having some barn cats to keep the pest population at bay, which is fine, and people in suburbia letting their cats out to wander...which isn't.

If you see a kitty outside you can almost guarantee one of two things happening: they run away from you, or they demand the attention that is their due as the best thing in the universe (according to them at least).

If you see a dog off leash, you just never know what they’ll do.

However, as much as I love seeing cats out and about, I do agree that they should be kept indoors. Not for the birds, but for their own safety. People have a very long history of treating cats absolutely terribly, for lots of reasons, and that doesn’t even get into being hit by a car.

Like I said, I don't hate cats, but a cat living a life outdoors factually, statistically, and objectively benefits no one in the situation. Not the ecosystem, not the owner, and DEFINETLY not the cat. There's stories of beginner serial killers picking up "neighborhood kitties" everyday to practice on. And that's leaving out coyotes, cars, stray cats, the list is endless.

It's just selfish and lazy on the owner's part, if you don't have time to look after a cat, then don't get a cat.

That makes sense, I can imagine an outdoor cat would have less of an impact on Africa since they... Essentially already have outdoor cats with cheetahs and stuff. Whilst North America can't be putting up with that. Like I said, it really depends on your circumstances, barn cats are fine imo. Suburbian outdoor cats aren't. A barn cat is essentially another employee on the farm, an outdoor cat in the suburbs or the city is just animal neglect.

A Florida dog owner allegedly faked a heart attack while being arrested after her two pets viciously mauled a woman to death, according to cops.

Linda Cutler, 29, “feigned having a heart attack” while she was being hauled into custody by cops Wednesday, Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey told reporters.

Cutler, who has since been charged with manslaughter, was nabbed near the Hilton hotel in Melbourne, which is located on Florida’s “Space Coast” — a week after her two mixed-breed dogs savaged 50-year-old dog-walker Jodi Cowan in Cocoa.

Cutler’s pooches Max and Mako climbed over the fence just before 2 a.m. May 19 before “forcing her [Cowan] to the ground, viciously attacking her and eventually dragging her across the ground for quite some distance,” Ivey said.


Cowan’s husband, Donnell Smith, swung a knife at the two dogs in a desperate bid to shoo them away.

Moments after the attack, she called 911 and said, “I’m dying, can’t breathe,” according to audio obtained by Florida Today.

“It was brutal. Seeing the same woman I’ve loved for the last 25, 30 years just ripped apart by two animals was just … I’ll never get that image out of my mind,” Smith told WESH, describing the horror.

Cowan died from her injuries hours later, but Cutler wasn’t immediately arrested; she was only nabbed when cops responded to an unrelated disturbance at the beachside location.

“Hope you enjoyed your time at the beach because you’re not going to be going back,” Ivey said as cops escorted her to jail.

“What is the purpose of that?” a seemingly clueless Cutler, who faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted, responded.

“A woman is dead and two dogs are about to be euthanized because of your uselessness,” the sheriff replied.

Cutler didn’t strengthen her fence despite knowing her dogs had previously escaped, according to the authorities.

And one of Cutler’s neighbors had previously been bitten by her other dogs — but they didn’t cooperate with cops, WFLA reported

“They were always on the loose,” neighbor Dominica Midkiff told Florida Today.

The authorities couldn’t seize the animals because the incidents failed to meet the legal requirement.

The two dogs will be euthanized.

Cutler’s arraignment is scheduled for June 23.

The indoor outdoor cat debate is funny since the main purpose of cats is pest control. That's what they were domesticated for. Can't do that very well if they're inside all day. In my parent's generation cats were outdoor-only animals, they didn't want them bringing fleas and diseases inside. And now people say cats don't belong outside. I guess it depends where you live and if pest animals are a problem or not. Don't have to be on a farm or in the wilderness, just being on the edge of undeveloped land there will be a massive resevoir of critters messing with your yard and trying to get in your house. No way poison or traps are better for the environment.

There's certainly some cats that are too dumb/friendly to be outside for their own good. If it is the type that goes up to strangers looking for pets it is not gonna last long. The best are the former street cats that act like they're in a war zone when outside. Those ones seem to live forever.

If I was a Bong id see no issue with an outside cat. I'd just put a bell on it. Unfortunately there are to many coyotes, birds of prey, and shitbulls where I live. I feed, water, and provide shelter to the strays and anyone who has anything to say about it can get fucked. Neuter and release is a program here bc the shelters are full of pits and pit mixes that are being warehoused for years bc nobody wants them but putting them down makes retards sad.

One of my sisters recently adopted a cat and kitten for her and her son(a toddler btw) and she said the shelter workers did everything they could to force a shitbull on her. She told me had she been a man they probably would have took turns sucking her dick for free.

  Henderson, 37, was standing by a bus stop near Hollywood Boulevard and Las Palmas Avenue around 3 p.m. when a dog chased him into the street and bit at his legs, surveillance footage shared by the Los Angeles outlet shows.
