Until there's consequences, and I mean actual painfully life altering consequences, for incitement of violence against a sitting president and calls to violent action (I don't have to point to a specific statement or assassination attempt, pick any two). They won't care and will continue as normal. The programming chip is jammed so deep in their grey matter that even if a fellow journo got a sudden unscheduled craniotomy via bullet, they would find a way to blame Trump(probably for not dying).
Fun fact, the word Pundit comes from the Jeet word Pandit. IIRC when the British ruled the country they let the jeets use their native law codes, but used a British judiciary to rule cases. Since the judges didn't know shit about the jeet law code (it hadn't even been translated yet) they had Pandits who were Indian lawyers who explained the law code to them in each case, pinky-promising not to abuse their position and mislead said judges. It went as you might expect. So Pundit came to mean someone who "translates" (read: propagandizes) political information for low information people.
