This reminds me of the time Sam was mocking Breaking Bad during a stream (also during fishtank I believe) and when his audience pressed him on it asking why exactly he didn't enjoy it he admitted he only watched the first episode and then poorly strawmanned the series as "low down dirty life porn" and seems to think people watch it because making meth is badass? Oh im not saying someone couldn’t make a complete 180 on their life and become a devout individual after years of debauchery or sin. But those people it’s totally clear their life has changed, it is incontrovertible, it isn’t just little Bible verse or some mentions of Jesus here and there. The people who go from sinner to saint, literally in Augustine’s case, have violently expelled from themselves a past life and replaced it with divinity.
