There are millions of reasons to dislike Graham but he knows biting the hand that feeds in politics would end poorly for him. It's easier for a Senator to afford a trip to Walt Disney World then it is for an ex-Senator after all.
So, so, so much has been achieved by taking control of the Supreme Court. This comes from McConnell obstructing Garland and Trump being Trump. Neither McConnell or Trump are perfect politicians, but electing them was how you get from where we were to where we are on Roe v. Wade, various Troon things, and many other issues. I wouldn't go full "Vote red no matter who" because the party needs to fear the voters to some degree if you want any good results, but it can't be emphasized enough how much keeping the court matters. I wouldn't blame the Dems a bit for packing the court, especially after the McConnell stunt, because that is where a ton of power is. If you are a conservative and want to hand them that power, you are a retard. It isn't a momentary corrective slap on the wrist, it can mean decades of Democratic influence and power.
We got lucky as fuck on with the courts. Biden could've had 2 more fairly easily if any health or other things hadn't worked out and we'd have a 5-4 leftist now or worse. If the democrats do pack/expand the court shit if they get in power I'll be ok with all out civil war over something like that because that's just the fascism they claim to be so against. Graham is always cooperative when he's up for reelection. Happens like clockwork. Much as I dislike him, it proves he's a hell of a lot smarter than someone like Massie or MTG.
This is gonna come across as nuts, but I dig the hell out of Mitch. Up until the Trump takeover he was one of the most badass senators around, and he got a lot done for Kentucky. Some personal...ish connections. Without him i'm not sure a friend of a friend wouldn't have been a district judge. Rand tried to torpedo him and I've hated Rand ever since.
