I think you screwed up the input to your QR code generator, the encoded bytes are very high entropy with no signatures and show signs of classic mojibake (decode latin1 encode to utf8)?

I respect Null's frank approach to guiding the culture of the forums - I doubt this place would be as high quality as it was if he didn't take such a direct approach. The rascals will be rascals either way, no reason to let that keep him from being honest with the userbase at large with what he wants the forums to be.

I agree at least insofar as when Null expresses his views in effortposts. My agreement with the occasional banner at the top of the site varies; it really just sometimes looks like Null was MATI about something unimportant. Ultimately I don't really know how widespread the issue of low effort gif replies is/was(maybe it really is a bigger deal than I thought), I just have my perspective that I didn't observe it in the parts of the site I peruse that aren't designated shitposting streets(and not even in some of those).

You can have gifs and preserve the quality of discussion if you took a few cautionary measures:
- Excluding very specific situations, no black minstrel react gifs
- No single post reaction gifs, it has to accompany actual discussion
- Reaction gifs if used at all must be forum generated content or at least related to the topic or individual being dicussed
- ONE guy gets to post the DSP explosion gif each time he outlasts another career. That shit is hilarious.

It was a bunch of junk data as a PoC. If I wanted to cause real harm, I'd simply repeat the screenshot as individual frames up to the 200 MB upload limit.
