Vibes are going well, for some reason.
This is not vibes, it's a reaction to recent changes with the Federal Reserve. Currently, the Reserve is engaging in quantitative easing, aka money printing, to try to prevent a recession because we can not raise interest rates due to our insane debt levels, but we also can not allow a recession that would lead to massively dropped tax revenue. Money printing does prevent recessions, but it does it at the expense of furthering our already thoroughly unacceptable inflation, hence why the odds of a recession have dropped.
Additionally, the old Federal Reserve head, Powell, is out, and his new pick, Warsh, is going to be taking over after his Congressional approval formality, and there is a general belief that Warsh is more likely to do what Trump wants, unlike Powell who ignored Trump's input. From what I gather, Trump and Powell had some very harsh disagreements over interest rates and money printing, in no small part because Powell made some economically unsavory decisions that helped Biden's presidency, but has been unwilling to do the same in Trump's presidency. Considering Trump's picks are often backstabbing or incompetent, we will have to see what actually happens, but regardless, that would explain the gamblers' change in perspective.
Also, why is Trump doing Blue Steel straight out of Zoolander?
