It's 300 fucking million dollars.
That's all. That's all they say. It costs money. They're commies so they're probably seething about some class warfare thing normal people don't pick up on.
It's also Drumpflr so #RESIST.
You know it wouldn't be a bad idea to maybe cut back on all the gold trim so it doesn't end up looking like the Bunny Ranch in 1978? It's going to all be ripped out the moment he leaves office anyway.

Also, wasn't it privately funded anyway?
That's what we were told but obviously we were lied to (again) if Congress is quietly trying to fund it now.

Apparently one of the presidential judges ruled it can't be privately funded.
Federal Judge did an injunction ordering him to use tax payer money.
I have to ask, what reasoning did that judge use?
getting congressional approval because of existing legal statutes =/= forcing taxpayers to pay for it

https://www.npr.org/2026/04/17/nx-s...again-stalls-his-white-house-ballroom-project
Leon said that below-ground work on security measures is exempt from his order suspending above-ground construction. Government lawyers have argued that the project includes critical security features to guard against a range of possible threats, such as drones, ballistic missiles and biohazards.

Leon's latest ruling comes several days after a three-judge panel from the D.C. appeals court instructed him to reconsider the possible national security implications of stopping construction.

In his previous order, Leon barred above-ground work on the ballroom from proceeding without congressional approval. The judge also ruled on March 31 that any construction work that's necessary to ensure the safety and security of the White House is exempt from the scope of the injunction. Leon said he reviewed material that the government privately submitted to him before concluding that halting construction wouldn't jeopardize national security.

Leon had suspended his March 31 order for two weeks. He stayed his latest decision for another week, which gives the administration more time to seek Supreme Court review.

Leon said he is ordering a stop only to the above-ground construction of the planned ballroom, apart from any work needed to cover or secure that part of the project. Otherwise, the Trump administration is free to proceed with the construction of any excavations, bunkers, military installations, and medical facilities below the ballroom.

"Defendants argue that the entire ballroom construction project, from tip to tail, falls within the safety-and-security exception and therefore may proceed unabated," the judge wrote. "That is neither a reasonable nor a correct reading of my Order!"

Why does Blumpf's proposed ballroom addition make leftists seethe so much?

It's literally the most nothing non controversial issue ever and it makes them incredibly angry for some reason.
It’s a permanent legacy for his presidency that will stick around long after all of them are dead, and they want nothing more than to make this presidency vanish as soon as possible

I have to ask, what reasoning did that judge use?
The President may be the steward of the White House but he isn't the owner (it's da peepoes house n shieet mufugguh).
Congress must authorize all construction projects to the White House (que libtards crying about tax dollars being used when they made it a tax payer issue).

Federal Judge did an injunction ordering him to use tax payer money.
No, as was obvious, they're now pivoting to push legislation to have it funded by taxpayers and use the donations for 'china
Probably mumbled something about Nazis and fucked off. That seems to be how it goes nowadays.
So why in the article that retard posted does it seem like he hasn't stopped working on it anyways?

Screenshot_20260501-090641_Chrome.png

Is one of those things where people swear that HE'S BEEN STOPPED, but he actually hasn't?

Were the people who told us it was privately funded unaware of those statutes when they fed us the bullshit? When they learned of their mistake did they reverse course or at least tone down the plans a bit? Nope. You were always going to pay,

I finally ran into someone who was too retarded to comprehend the button question.

When I said the red button, he flipped out and said “the correct answer is the blue button because picking the red button kills people.”

When I told him if everyone went red, no one dies and it’s stupid to pick a choice with a chance of death vs a choice with no downside whatsoever he replied “you pick the blue button because it’s impossible for everyone to pick the red button because some people won’t understand.”

I think it’s clear that anyone who goes with the blue button in the scenario are trying to have some sort of moral high ground and it’s beyond retarded

They have to be mad, it's all that keeps them going. I don't think they give a shit about the ballroom. I've seen some retard right call it some huge super secret mossad base under it; instead of USSS and military operation stuff in there and maybe some Palantir tech.
It leaked that the ballroom is cover for expanding the emergency operations bunker.

Isn't he also funding this completely with his own money?
I’d be fine if he paid for his own vanity project. However, it is supposedly coming from untraceable private donors. Perhaps it would be in the best interests of the American public to know if said donors are involved in government contracts or are being sued by the government.

untraceable private donors
They literally released a list of the donors and it's even in the Wikipedia article:

I mean I’m not eager to see any kind of Democrat gains in Congress this fall, but frankly looking around at my own circle, it’s grim. Not as in, people who voted for Trump in 2024 are going to vote Democrat. More like people who voted Trump in 2024 are disillusioned and pissed off and quite a few of them are liable to stay home this time.

It’s not the ballroom, although yeah, optics suck on that. Better to have called it a bunker and added an overt element of “fuck you” to the whole thing but w/e. No, the thing is the war. All the moderates/weirdos/free thinker types who broke from whatever they were before 2016 to turn MAGA when holy shit, we actually had anti-war Republican candidate? They’re off the train. I don’t understand why this board likes to gloss over how much that burns people’s asses.

It’s not full doom and gloom exactly. I’m not seeing anybody pulling a 180 and cheering for the left because of it. But you’re lying to yourself if you think anybody feels cool about paying higher gas prices and continuing to wallow in a stagnating economy while we waste time, cash, and a closing window of opportunity LARPing the GWOT.

Something good needs to happen. Something normal people can see and feel themselves.

We still have months before the midterms, and the average geopolitical attention span is like two weeks. I hereby bet six months in a burger suit that the Iran war will not even be in the top 3 relevant issues for midterms. Feel free to bookmark this post.

If the war can end, gas prices come down, and the 250th is a nice patriotism celebration things might turn around.

There won't be any such thing as a safe Republican seat by November.

Nothing. There's always something to complain about even if the issue's been rectified for a long time and nothing burgers are amplified into issues by the press constantly screeching because orange man bad. It's only a few handful things that are unreasonably priced and Trump is a boomer so the most important thing for people that's not budging, homes, will only get fixed if it crashes on it's own or all the rent seekers become desperate to sell because the 20 something illegal aliens they had stuffed inside to milk them of their rent vouchers are all gone.

For me the problem is that the Trump admin is lacking hard on the Color Revolution setup going on that's just a 1:1 repeat with what happened during his first term except there are really close assassination attempts on his head now.
Everybody's primed for violence by the corporate press. Where Antifa does show up, it's allowed to destroy and attack people and nothing meaningful is done about it.
They're starting with the leftist network with the SPLC but they're just the tip of the iceberg. If they aren't going to round up all the Antifa paramilitary homos then they're going to have to go ham on all the domestic and international funders. Corporate and private funders need to be imprisoned and their assets seized.

Yeah good luck with that. The country's debt just surpassed 100% of GDP with nothing to show for it, social security is headed for an iceberg, the military budget is expanded beyond any sane measure and yet the US is low on stockpiles because of the war in Iran, and even then the cost of the INTEREST on the debt is still larger than the entire military budget and will soon surpass social security. Oh and the country is as divided as it has ever been with no real path for reconciliation, at least not under Trump. And all this on top of a stagnating economy and overall inflation, as mentioned.

We're much more likely to be headed directly for a repeat of the GFC than anything positive.
