The post was a mistake but it isn't the end of the world. I think there is a good chance he won't make a serious apology unless pressed hardly on the matter. While this incident can be dismissed as a bad joke or something done in bad taste, if he keeps making posts like it then be really worried then.

President Trump himself is known for having a big ego and a turbulent and perhaps strange relationship with his own personal faith:
Trump on his odds of getting into Heaven:"...I don’t think there’s anything that's going to get me in Heaven...I’m not …Heaven-bound.” (2025)

“On Palm Sunday, Jesus entered Jerusalem as crowds welcomed him with praise honoring him as king. They call me king now. Can you believe it?”- President Trump, days before the Easter holiday. (2026)

He isn't exactly unfamiliar with Christian theology as his mother, a devout Christian, sent him to confirmation classes at a Presbyterian church in his formative years. The Pope does deserve some criticism but at the same time Trump is someone who sees prosperity gospel televangelist Paula White-Cain as a serious spiritual advisor and has given her positions in his administration
twice.

We live in peculiar times.

The first one is an outright denial of Christ as even he can be saved with repentance. To say that nobody can save you is the mortal sin of despair as Christ saves. The fact that Trump refuses to give up his sinful lifestyle is a shame, but it makes his heaven statement a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I haven't been around as much for a bunch of reasons, but one of them is pretty simple.

What's going on right now with foreign policy, especially, is really beyond my pay grade and my security clearance. Almost no one really has any idea what's going on, what's propaganda, and whose propaganda they're believing. It's all very muddled, and anyone who claims to be certain is lying.

So this is one of those times when I think it's reasonable to say that the people who are in charge get to make the decisions, that we put them there and we will let them work and do their jobs, without falling into the traps of either praising or criticizing short-term outcomes with no knowledge of how tactics play into longer-term, closely held strategies.

So I'm withholding judgment. I'm refusing to get caught up in the whirlwind of "it's so over" and "we're so back" that fires up the dopamine but leaves me no more informed or certain about any outcome or allegiance.

It's not election season right now. These are the players playing the game, for better or worse. With actual secret war or negotiation information being something we wouldn't want to leak even if we had it (because that would be deeply illegal), it seems to me to make sense to take a step back from doing a reaction to every piece of bait. No one here even knows all the pieces that are on the board, much less the moves being made, but people want to place ruinous reputational bets on the outcomes.

Why not wait to know how it all turns out before you decide whether you liked it or not?

I was promised no war or regime change. I don't need to wait to be upset that I was openly lied to. Whether or not violating his promise works out for Trump remains to be seen, but that doesn't change the fact that I am angry that this guy lied about something so major. If this really is the 8D Mahjong move that I have been assured that it is, then I will give credit where credit is due, but my anger is entirely derived from being tricked.

@Useful_Mistake May I suggest you or somebody else move all the current Trump sperging to another thread please.

This is literally USPG, this is the place for people to hoot, holler, and whine when something bad happens.

The base is obligated to bitch and moan whenever the administration does something retarded, it works more often then people realize.

Trump was all in on closure initially.

He did leave it mostly up to govenors, but he also never pushed hard to reopen. His advisors (Brixx… Fauci) were catastrophically awful.
To be fair, government policy on COVID-19 was very prone to change.

On the topic of church gatherings specifically during the pandemic, the Trump administration did eventually adopt the stance of supporting them:

I said pretty much all I had to say when I called Trump the Nigger-Jew
Trump's meme is actually super messed up and not okay at all. As a holocaust denier who supports TND and is reverting to Islam, it’s really disappointing to see this kind of content from a President who I believe is also eating children he raped. Let’s reflect and grow please ❤️

That’s the problem. You people are genuinely shocked when you see someone who’s devoted. God said the path is narrow so it’s not really surprising that even most Christian’s won’t care, as evidenced by this thread where Christian’s can’t even have a uniform take on this and at the very least say “yeah, that post was in poor taste. He shouldn’t have posted that.”
I don't give a fuck about your purity test you massive faggot.

I was on Epstein Island and I didn’t see him do any of that shit

You know, i'm beginning to maybe the six votes I cast for Trump to be the head of the Christian faith, and a world role model was a bad idea.

Wait, it was for president? Oh, well don't have have egg on my face!!
Fr fr though to me catholics are the same as the jews when it comes to their loyalty towards the United States. It's why the CIA killed JFK.
We kind of need a KKK revival to shove them back down into Latinx America.

JD Vance is a catholic and many times other catholics including the holy poop (the new one, he killed the old one) have tried to manipulate him for their own benefit to keep us flooded with infinite spics and muslims.
