Nick's inability or unwillingness to understand judicial signals interests me.

In the middle of the HRO proceeding, he is told by the judge that Rekieta can get the continuance he requested if he agrees to not harass the petitioner. Nick steadfastly refuses to sign the stipulation because he firmly intends to repeat the behaviour that is the subject of the HRO. He is telling the judge quite clearly, that harassing the Toe is more important than the court's time and resources - he wanted that extension until it meant he couldn't talk about his ex-lover in front of ~500 degenerates.

I think most judges would have considered Aaron's evidence pretty weak, but Nick (and Melton's) insistence on harassing Aaron (whether or not to the relevant standard) puts Aaron's evidence in the best possible light. It's no longer petty internet squabbles, it's a commitment to harassment that surpasses Nick's (a former practicing lawyer) respect for the court, it's time, and it's resources.

Nick's attorney is representing himself to other judges as being just about physically incapable of representing clients right now and is heading off to major surgery within days. And yet:

1) Nick's physically disabled attorney was (somehow) able to ask for a continuince, not based on his medical condition or imminent surgery, but rather his two clients needing to be at Hackmania.
2) The physical condition of Nick's attorney would seem to indicate that he will not be able to represent his clients for perhaps at least two months. Yet the judge seems to have only found out about this through what seems to have been informal conversations.
3) White seemed to be acting as if he was going to represent Nick if there was no continuence.

They are (IMO) just treating that judge openly as if he is a fool. And the judge seems to be ok with that. The judge should have not only rejected the request for a continuance for Hackmania, he should have demanded from white an explanation as to what White's plans are for representing his clients in the case and what the fuck he is thinking.
