The suggestion here is that someone brought it to their attention... and that's what terminated them? Obviously, it was he himself who did - but why would they have been wrongfully hit for 'ban evasion'? Why would they have been removed at-all without warning?

Here's what I think happened: Keemstar or any other number of people contacting their own reps had them look into it. They found the evidence of termination, who did it, the rationale for it... and they've started the internal process of reversing it. That this is happening over a weekend is surprising, since most in-house staff have the weekends off. Jer is making a callback to his old claim of ban evasion to deflect from what he actually sent to his own rep, which I still remain tin-foil convinced was some cash considering how he was apparently sure that he'd get them terminated on friday specifically, in time for his silly little prop.
