This admin needs to turn the ship around the AI issue and economic measures. I still say republicans have an edge but a lot can happen in between now and then.
The focus for the economy needs to be the issue after the war. I hope I can look at this post and know I was worried about nothing, but the admin is not signaling any interest beyond busting fraud and illegals deportations because silly green line go up. He about posted that 50 year mortgage idea which was out of touch.
I don't know what you mean by "AI issue", but whatever it is, it's not happening. No one is going to stop AI for you. The biggest companies in the world are shooting for like a 40% reduction in workforce. Forget the AI companies, the Financial Services corporations, especially the Big 3, who own almost everything, they are trying to head towards 1:1 agents to human, and their plan from there is to try to figure out how to "black factory" their corporate offices.
Remember, Larry Fink was almost able to cuck China in Panama
by himself. If he says you will spend ze token, you will spend ze tokens. There's no stopping it. The people who own nearly everything publicly traded are the ones pushing for it's application, viewing those who refuse as something akin to luddites rejecting machinery in factories in the early modern period, and the only real hopium to be had, is that the market will probably transform and we'll see news opportunities and roles open up that didn't exist before. The alternative, is that AI is not as transformative of a technology as
everyone around the world believes, and we suffer some sort of global economic collapse that even running to China won't save you from, because China is also all-in on AI.
I fully expect to be called cattle for this and get tons of angry stickies or w/e but the fact is there's not really a going back. Anyone trying to get in the way of AI is going to be kept from the halls of power, and even if they somehow beat all the most powerful moneyed interests in the world, they would only be handicapping their own nation. The republicans actually have the right idea to try to put a moratorium on any regulation while AI is maturing as a technology. We have no idea what the world will look like and anyone trying to legislate the market is an apparatchik retard fuck with no place in America or it's free market.
There's no stopping it. These are not subprime mortgages 20 years ago. It's a massively transformative technology the whole world is implementing. It's a sink or swim moment that is going to have an impact on every industry that you can imagine, because the people who own everything, are in charge of implementing it, and if you want to compete against them, you'll have to leverage it yourself.
