In a vacuum, maybe. But the thing is, you open the gates of Hell when you do so. In WWII, the nukes were an element of surprise. Now they're threat that several countries have. Using a nuke means that, on some basic level, it's now deemed a reasonable military response on a global scale. No one wants to let Russia or North Korea know that nukes are an acceptable responses until things get truly FUBAR. And frankly, Russia and North Korea don't want to start that either if they "don't have to."

This is why Mr. RW said this outlook is retarded - it'd be stupid to open Pandora's Box when Granite bombs are cheaper and can do just as well, to say nothing of good ol fashion missiles. The fear mongering about nukes, while technically not a 0% probability, shows they don't know how many options the USA has to destroy those bridges and power plants.

Just earlier this year, he very flippantly approved the use of nuclear weapons on Iran. You could say “well only in his specific hypothetical”, but listen to his tone of voice.

These are not sincerely held beliefs. He is shifting his tone because he knows the winds are blowing against Trump in his audience.

I have family that watch him and are being persuaded by his bullshit. And I don’t know how to tell them they’re probably being psyop’d by the Chinese and used by a grifter. These types of people gross me the fuck out.
