Tucker Carlson definitely deserves a lolcow thread especially when plenty of his peers in online political commentary already have threads of their own. I already said as much when this latest round with Iran really made him flip out with rage about a month ago, but even that point was still overdue. His firing from Fox News is still largely a mystery as far as I'm aware, but I think his turn to the weird began with that grocery store in Russia. Somebody just needs to assemble an OP, and I'm too busy/lazy for that.

You're giving the government too much credit. Until Trump 2, the government didn't care about social media unless it already aligned with their message. Trump's administration is the first one that seems to be dynamically interacting with it. Nick's MN video that completely broke containment was what finally got their attention. They're learning to be more perceptive now but could be better.
The citizen journalist subgenre of YouTuber is getting bigger it doesn't need fed money injections. Go looking and you'll find lots of videos being posted. People in MN took Nick's lead and are doing their own investigations and reporting. People in CA Are doing the same. It's always been an undeniable issue, immigration fraud and what comes with it, but now we're getting it live in 1080p 4k 60fps video. It's only just starting and we're 16 months into this administration. Give it some time and it's going to grow and flourish. that would be true except it was claimed iran had zero ability to fight back and yet they can strike our aircraft and also aircraft we send to rescue pilots from that downed aircraft. if you wanted to say we have superiority but its far from safe to fly over iran and it would be a long and difficult invasion that would be more accurate than this nonsense that its all basically over. saying we can fight this war solely from the air because of air superiority implies more so that we can viably remove irans control of itself and the wider region solely from the air which clearly isnt the case since theyre still downing our craft after the timeframe iraqi forces had folded completely iirc.
