Believe me, I wish Republicans had a fraction of the Dems' ruthlessness. But it's not about "losing honorably", it's about avoiding unforced errors and unintended consequences.

Last time around, Kyrsten Sinema, an independent who caucused with the Dems, voted "no" on nuking the filibuster so they could pass that John Lewis Voting Rights Act bill. That bill would've allowed Biden's Washington to completely usurp management of elections from the states (as is outlined in the Constitution).

Do you have any idea how much that "no" vote saved our asses?

Where did you get that from? I didn't say that anywhere. I said that a sample size of 1,001 is small and does not reflect the greater population, and that voting a mere "disapproval" does not say anything about why they voted disapproval. There is a world of difference in "I disapprove of bombing Iran because I feel it has gone on too long at this point, let's order civilians to rise up now and leave" versus "I disapprove of bombing Iran and wished it never happened."

Polls don't really offer nuance like that, closest you get is "Disagree", "Slightly Disagree", "Heavily Disagree."

Even then, both these theoretical people may only still vote rightwing because they consider these negatives to be more manageable than a dem leadership.
