I’d also like to see those numbers on how much money they sunk into something that was more symbolic than strategic. If there’s one thing I know about the DNC, it’s overspending a ton on races like this, then begging their supporters for more money later because they’re awful at managing campaign funds.
That seat is going to be up for election again in 7 months. Democrats just spent tens of millions of dollars on a state senate seat that's going to last as long as a pet goldfish.

i won't argue that but i think it's by and large due to population growth, infrastructure stagnation, and union job bullshit. the van wyck and grand central were under construction my entire life and i would, without even looking it up, 100% guarantee it still is. the van wyck and it's never ending construction is so bad that there would be traffic at 1 am near jamaica hospital. the southern state (closer to the urban yoots) gets undeniably bad but that's because the endless wave of starett city niggers in their infinitis go flying into the turns at 110mph and slam into the wall. there are so many people there now that even widening the roads doesn't do anything meaningful (if you remember they did this with the belt parkway and it literally did nothing, same thing goes with the new kosciusko bridge), and like you said even long island sucks. every single parkway is gridlocked, including the LIE where more often then not its a parking lot until around exit 40.
