Iran Crisis & the 2026 War between Iran and the United States, Gulf States, and Israel - Please focus on news and coverage, not argumentation.

I've noticed something interesting: our government and media are a lot more willing to talk about killing enemies. It used to be where they'd talk about "destroying capabilities" or "neutralizing threats" but now its like their statements have changed to "yeah, we're going to kill a bunch of Iranian government officials if they don't surrender". Its a nice change of pace but when did this more-bloodthirsty rhetoric start? Was it the killing of that rich Arab hedonist in Pakistan?

Saudi Arabia has raised the red flag of sabre rattling music videos stage of diplomacy with Iran, as is Islamic tradition

I can tell you for a fact that when it comes to military stuff, Saudi Arabia is king of "Bought the most expensive shit and can't use it right". The stories I've heard from Air Force guys on their flight "skills" behind the stick of an F-15 would make even the laziest National Guardsman on drill look like the Red Baron. And whoever chose the music for this video needs to be beheaded, it sounds like the Nokia ringtone in its sheer schizophrenia.

The PC rhetoric started to disappear when the Department of Defense was changed back to the Department of War. The Trump admin is shaking up the norms that have been in place for decades including the standard rhetorical euphemisms. No more shame about being powerful and carrying out military action when you jettison the ideals of globohomoism and the elimination of the nation state.

I think some of it just how obviously neutered Iran is at this stage, like when their capabilities have been knocked down this far, and the hope is to clear the way for a possible uprising from their civvies, at that point killing off the loyalists standing in the way of that uprising becomes meaningful, wrecking their leadership structure means what people they have can't organize crackdowns as effectively. And drone striking their checkpoints reduces the manpower they have to engage in those crackdowns.

Meanwhile we're also largely ignoring their broader infrastructure which would be a part of their fighting capability that we'd normally be talking about, but we're not knocking out power stations etc like we would in an all out conflict which also contributes to the lack of messaging on that front.
Im honestly more impressed by the fact that the plane landed safely and that the pilot was fine than anything
To be fair as well, there is the very real chance of two things being true at once.

An F35 was damaged as CNN is reporting
AND that video of the IRGC shooting at is is horse shit and whatever hit the F35 wasn't some full on interceptor shot like that video supposedly shows.

Iran has been more than happy to lie and overstate their meager accomplishments in this conflict, for a while they tried to pretend they were the ones that shot down the F-18s that the Kuwaitis merced with friendly fire. So it wouldn't be outside of the realm of possibility that yes an F35 took some damage, but also Iran just wants to over sell it and push out some ginned up video and pretend they successfully carried out a radar interception or something.

CCTV footage of the hit on the Haifa refinery:

The situation in the refinery was quickly taken control of.

CCTV Footage of multiple cluster warheads striking Kiryat Shmona, one of which struck a home and seriously injured a man.

Maybe the chinesium radar isnt as bad as we all thought.
Honestly the video looks fake as fuck.

1) The whole plane appears to have the same IR signature, from the engine exhaust to the leading edge angles to the tailing edge angles.

2) The missile approaches from an angle that should be covered by both DAS cameras and the Electro-Optical Search & Track system - yet the plane makes no attempt to maneuver or deploy flares, etc.
This makes sense when we see the same exact video hitting sluggish, semi-expendable drones but against a manned jet aircraft it seems sus that no defensive action was taken what so ever.

3) The missile impacts the jet directly.
I'm not doubting American equipment survivability, but a jet is not a tank and taking a direct impact from a missile and continuing to fly off without ejecting, etc. seems very sus.

I'm not doubting an F-35 got hit by something, especially a short-range within-visual-range system.
I'm just doubting this video of it is legit.

If the F35 can take a full on interceptor hit like that, and the pilot can then turn around and fly home. That actually makes the plane more impressive to me.

Okay, sure guys, Trump attacked Iran because Netanyahu convinced him to, but did you know that Mohammad Bin Salman who has no actual influence on Trump also wanted it to happen? I mean, technically, I'm only citing a source saying that after Trump attacked already, Salman said to "keep hitting them hard", but let's just say he also told Trump to attack ahead of time. So, when you really think about it, isn't it his fault and maybe we shouldn't even bring up Israel anymore? Please?
Actually, I'm going to go ahead and say "no", that makes zero fucking sense, but nice deflection, Michael.

Here's my theory - The F-35 was too overconfident, flew too low, and got peppered by AA fire or a MANPAD. Not enough to get critically damaged, but not something I'd want to keep flying, thus the emergency landing.

I don't believe the video on Twitter at all.

This exactly.
It also computes because we have footage of FA-18s and F-15s doing ballsy shit at low-altitudes, so we already have a pattern of behavior of US (Israeli?) pilots putting themselves in a position that could cause a situation like this.

Especially if the missile were proximity-fused, which is common with anti-air missiles.

Ironically, the dubious video that they're circle-jerking over makes the F-35 look like a fucking flying tank if it survived a direct hit with a missile.

I'm pretty sure what happened is the Iranians copy-pasted a PNG or other layered image file type onto a video of a drone being shot down, because they recently released a bunch of videos of drones being hit and brought down.

Hasan just spent the first half hour of his today gooning over the damaged F-35.

"Oh my God, American Empire is so fucking over."

I haven't (intentionally) watched a Hasan take in several years. He was cringe during the first Trump admin, but jesus. I didn't think he could get THIS bad. He's even added shitty sound effects like it's a Kramer Bulls and Bears show or something from the Old Hannity days. How embarrassing. Imagine having to stretch out a single emergency landing into "America is so over" and jerk off about it for 5 mins straight while your chat scrolls memes and "YASS YASSS" over and over. Streamers are a mistake.

I'm sorry. Any aircraft that survives a strike with the pilot unhurt and lands for repairs isn't really the "Ending of the American Empire" you think it is.
