Taking into consideration he’s likely no longer working, his diet probably consists of cheap noodles and famichiki. Adding lack of exercise and basic hygiene, you get that vintage Chibi® look.

His Japanese friend seemed to be doing the standard over politeness and tolerating him. I don’t think he even met the other one until that day. He told me he met his roommate on WeChat and hung out with him on his last vacation. It was supposed to be a temporary set up. I’d be surprised to hear he found a place of his own though.

Chibi is broke in Japan. In Japan, the conbini have shit tier food. My hypothesis is that by subsisting on janyanburimyoku, also known as the local delicacy of his prefecture in Shibuwarama-kun-desuka (a deep-fried chicken thigh on two sticks with a clown make-up matakoshi senzu bean paste in the shape of a Yoshi) his diet is probably shit. This is what leads to him being greasy and fat and pimply also more autistic because most Japanese know that you cannot eat more than three janyanburimyoku per moon cycle, it's actually considered taboo.
