LTT made a video regarding monkeynomics.

i'd like to point out that is incorrect, it's 92% tax because left-wing goberment and i'd like to leave the daily reminder to purge commies at the first symptom.

The flags are in Bazaar which isn't the official GNOME app store - Software is the official one. For some utterly retarded reason, the KDE version of Bazzite uses Bazaar instead of Discover. Even if it didn't, there's a bunch of other alphabet pride nonsense Bazzite push:

At this point, I'd definitely say Bazzite is at fault.
They kicked out the guy who made the HID drivers for the joysticks because he wasn't sucking the girlcock. They literally made their own software worse because transsexuals can never not make anything about themselves.

these subhumans mental illness is why open sores software will always be dogshit. im sick and tired of these faggots inserting their poop dick ideology into everything.
It recently occurred to me that there is an upside to troons infesting the Linux ecosystem: it's highly unlikely we'll see too many Linux distros follow Pajeetsoft (and to some extent Apple) in selling users privacy down the river. After all, if anyone would has an incentive to keep the contents of their hard drives private, it'd be troons.

Neat! I can sorta get back on topic again and kinda tie in a recent LTT video into sperging over weird vintage Brazilian computers and consoles that were made due to their computer industry being subject to insane tariffs since the '70s, like their MSX machines and how the Sega Genesis was made in Brazil under license until 2017.

this article is insane

Debianism now suffers from a disproportionate number of gays and transgenders. They have the Zizian mindset, in other words, they have tried to have stright white males molested and killed. They did that after my father died. So far, they failed. The next person to accept any leadership role in the group is inheriting all these vendettas.

People are saying she is somebody's wife. Few details have been provided.

Now look at the New Maintainer report for Sruthi Chandran. She applied to be listed as a Debian Developer in January 2019 and the process was completed in May 2019. Four months for Sruthi Chandran to have her name added to the credits as opposed to seven years for Phil Wyett to get nothing.

Sruthi Chandran received multiple messages from Indian men advocating her advancement. Praveen Arimbrathodiyil, who uses the pseudonym Pirate Praveen has writtenthis advocacy:

I have sponsored almost all of her 200+ packages and also conducted packaging workshops with her.
There are reports about the trips they took together. Here is a report from 2019:

With Narmadh's help, we could start the function on time by bringing Mr. Praveen and Mrs. Sruthi from Palakkad Junction railway station.

Techrights expressed concerns about her relationships in a recent article:

When Debian wanted to stage a seemingly legitimate election it needed to have more than one candidate running; so eventually the female partner of a geek rose to the challenge (had no coding skills at all, no technical history in Debian) and lost to the "incumbent German".
The Techrights article alleges "no technical history" yet Sruthi Chandran is actually producing packages. It is important to clarify the extent of her personal contribution to those packages. As we saw with the notorious SSH package vulnerability, some package maintainers are simply cutting-and-pasting patches without understanding what they are looking at.

Another AMD Upgrade, to which it seems AMD committed to one more year of this. Guy is a product engineer, pretty normal, has a kid, they don't say wife so he could be just the usual gay canadian or canadians are so effeminate I can't tell anymore. Another duplex of sadness with a garage that looks like it couldn't even fit a Corolla:

Fuck, the idea that the bulk of the LTT community would be "power users" based on those definitions is insane. 90% of that community is "enthusiasts" who would better fit into that "casual" category since most of them seem to have no idea what the fuck they're doing.
Honestly casual doesn’t do them justice and enthusiast is giving them too much credit.

Power Buyers or Power Consumers would be the most fitting description.

They barely even make use of all the bullshit they buy/consume on a whim purely to keep up the appearance that they do something cool/tech related and that they’re in the know.

This is why the term Prosumer exists. Consumer level use cases being run on Professional hardware at professional costs.

Sometimes prosumer can be justified when the professional hardware dodges some weird services or licensing bullshit like buying a second hand server blade to run at home, to avoid having to pay a subscription for some home automation crap. But usually, Prosumer is the end stage result of a casual who's spent most of their life with the parts cannon solution to problems, and now have a career and salary to feed the cannon with.

I thought of calling it that but I figured it still gave the average LTT viewer too much credit. It sounds like the "Pro" in Prosumer implies that the people buying and consooming all of the popular hardware still make use of it to some extent, but browsing the LTT subreddit and youtube comments, it seems like most of what the LTT community buys exists primarily to be turned on, photographed, and discussed with no actual use ever happening. If all of their needs could realistically be met by any other chinkshit hardware, I'd consider them more in the "Power Buyer" category rather than prosumer category.

The prosumer term definitely has a use, but I don't think it applies to LTT's audience. Most of these people are just consoomers focused on spending money on shit because Linus told them to. A "prosumer" in my mind at least has a better understanding of wtf their goal is, but will still fire the parts cannon to get there. The LTT crowd just buys shit because Linus says so without doing any of their own research to see if it'll work, make sense, or if they even need it.

im somewhat guilty of this. computer shit is something of a hobby, and my setup is a retarded amalgamation of thin clients, NAS and an overkill 16 core amd file server with a fancy 2018 gaming motherboard and a hardware raid controller. one day I will add another 32gb ram and centralize most of the stuff on that server on some hypervisor thing but my bullshit setup kinda works and i don't wanna fuck with it for now

i get the sense that linus dorks will spend huge amounts of money on hardware and run GRIDS infested windows 11 with copilot turned on logged into chrome with a google account with their real name attached and play gaymes they buy at full retail on release and subscribe to like 5 different shitty streaming services with 5 different iot hubs running a bunch of incompatible smart bullshit that can't talk to each other

at least im running autism level cut down versions of windoze and pirate content like the good old days...

Exactly. The prosumer version of the IOT smart device bullshit would at least setup their own homeassistant hub and grab random drivers from github to run the 5 different standards of shit they have, or find a product that does it for them(perhaps also relying on having to telnet into the thing and grab random drivers or adding a bunch of random USB antennas).

Meanwhile the person who just wants a remote operated outlet and maybe a motion sensor for a hallway light will just buy some lutron caseta switches and outlets, and call it a day instead of adding 10 sensors to detect when they're washing dishes at the sink to change the mood lighting and play their favorite music for doing chores.

this is the reason his smart house video made me laugh so hard. it all worked like shit and he installed it for no other reason than it being smart with no actual use cases in mind.

linus is the kind of nigger who will run a smart switch with a smart bulb (on two different ecosystems of course). when he hits the switch it will send a command through the cloud to ifttt, which will then send a command to the light bulb to turn on. meanwhile a dumb switch wired directly to the bulb has accomplished the same thing for 70 years without 3500ms of latency.

Oh absolutely. I was curious about some of the shit with some motion sensors in the hallway and adding some lights across the room that could be controlled at the main outlet, looked into it and it seems most of the people doing this home automation shit have lost their minds. The subreddit for it is a mess of people constantly fighting with trying to get random fly by night company and kickstarter(same thing really) shit to work, and people complaining about how their family keeps "ruining" everything by using a regular ass lightswitch so you've got people putting ducktape over switches, installing those plastic bubbles to keep people from flipping a switch, all while having what looks like a fucking 4 gang electrical box with 4 switches that all have 3-6 buttons for their 10'x12' living room. Meanwhile they replace switches, outlets, and bulbs every 3-12 months, meanwhile I've replaced a switch or outlet on average maybe once a decade if that? I don't understand why anyone would want to live like a fucking idiot constantly wanting to re-do the electrical in their home.

And I bet half of them are renters just fucking shit up for owners.
