you should always be doing a calculation based on cost of living in the new place you're moving to. rent, average grocery bill. that's a basic part of moving anywhere. if he's going from making 50k to making 150k or something that would be plenty of money to offset ALMOST everything, and still save. and, again, if he goes to one of the parts of seattle where the government figures live, he's in a better position because they just shoot them when they try to go there, and downplay it in the media.
