Seconding this. For some reason a lot of people aren't aware that marijuana can trigger latent schizophrenia. I can't speak for others, but the potential to become permanently schizophrenic doesn't seem worth a bit of "haha head feel funny" even if the chance is small.
Mental addictions are physical and the distinction between them doesn't really exist. It all stems from a somatic response to suddenly not having something your body has grown used to having which in turn leads to mood swings and crash outs.

It’s so weird to me that people treat marijuana like some little over the counter placebo/mild relaxant. Like it’s not terrible, it isn’t the worst thing you could ever do ever, but it has some wild ass side effects that people often just kind of glaze over like they’re irrelevant. It can cause psychosis, it puts you at a greater risk for developing psychosis, can make it to where your brain doesn’t develop properly if you’re smoking regularly in your early 20s, terrible and uncontrollable vomiting (that often needs medical intervention), and heart problems (heart attack or stroke).
