I couldn't be fucked to open another account for goyros, but if it just takes 1 business day for SEPA, it ain't too bad. I expected worse

For those outside of the USA or EU, it's possible in theory to send money to the European account via Telegraphic Transfer (SWIFT), with a couple of caveats.

Firstly, your bank may charge you a Telegraphic Transfer fee. Last time I checked, some Australian banks charge up to around AUD$35 per transfer, though many will waive the fee if you use Internet banking or your bank's mobile app.

Secondly - and most importantly - is that in order to send money overseas, you need to give your full government name and home address to facilitate the transfer. This is due to Know Your Customer standards enforced by SWIFT.

Whilst Null has pointed out that the connection between the payment hitting Lolcow LLC's European account and one'sKF user account is anonymized, there is still the risk that Lolcow LLC could end up on a banking sanctions list. Depending on how diligent your bank is in working with those who enforce said list, this may not end well.

mate, there's not a single US entity on that list. you're just scaring people.

Thanks for the heads up.

It's not meant to be a scare tactic, it's just a consideration those who are outside the EU that want Gilded T&H may need to take into account.

The reason I looked into it in the first place was to see if an Ausfag could potentially turn Gilded, because reasons.

all bank payments are attached to your id. you can not use a bank if they don't have your id. the only ones that can do something they can hide are big corporations countries or big banks themselfs nothing a normal person can ever do. they will always know you payed null and they can get more info with a warrant if it gets that bad. they just cant know what the memo/reference means.

Yes, that's true. However, there's an extra layer of compliance to contend with when dealing with international bank transfers i.e. SWIFT standards as mentioned above. For instance, you don't usually have to give your home address when transferring funds from one entity's account to another where both entities are domiciled in the same country.

I don't want to put my fellow non US or EU Farmers off getting in on the Gilded T&H action; quite the opposite. It's just for those of us outside the EU who'd like to help but (a) aren't au fait with crypto, (b) are au fait with crypto but are poorfags who can't drop a year's worth of Gilded in one hit, and/or (c) a little on the paranoid side, it's important to consider these risks.

tbh I'm stoked that Gilded has gone international.

I’m a total normie that has had different accounts throughout the years and have always found it complete bullshit we couldn’t support the site with traditional forms of payment. I’m glad you’re finding ways to fund the website that us low-IQ people can participate in instead of me sending you shit privately on cashapp lmao.

Kiwi victory!

We blew past 400, congrats Josh. Adding easier ways to donate and shilling it more on the front page seems to work well.

It'd be cool if gold members could choose one of the 6 kiwi mascots to have as a badge on their profile, like choosing your faction as a paypig. I'd definitely choose the cool skater kiwi.

If we hit the goal I'll buy mangosteen juice and goldbelly cookies and do a gumroad review
Just don't get hooked on Ambien & Box Wine. Or start doing Meat Streams! 😁

null please please please take a new picture of yourself soon so ppl stop using the same babyface null image from like 2015
People are going to keep using the old null pictures as long as they're funny.

They will always be funny.
I intentionally selected that image, really nice to see other people using it now :p
Lol, that was from my Sponsorship. I didn't even remember who made the banner, guess it was @Jotch lol. I had it saved because I thought it was funny.

its easier to just black it out with an image editor that doesnt dox you with exif data
And you don't even have to worry about exif data if you copy/paste directly from the editor (Select All) instead of uploading a saved image. I'm paranoid about exif data so I've been doing it that way for a while. It works great from SnagIt, Paint.Net, even good old MS-Paint.

Searching the error indicates this is something that pops up when Wise has added a recipient to their blacklist.
Sir, this is Kiwi Farms. The term we use here is "niggerlist". :smug:

I have a question. If it’s been talked about already, rate me late and gay. I was rewatching some MATI and I heard you talk about minting a Cobes coin. Is that still a thing or not really? I will be sending a money order when I have extra cash. Getting love in return is non-negotiable.

i was just saying if you use a bank they know everything. they don't ask your home address because they would already know that.

What you get:
  • "View replies" button on posts to see all replies.
I suggested you add this feature to the site several years ago and at the time you said it wasn't possible with Xenforo. I haven't been keeping up with the forum as much as I used to due to a signicant illness, but I'm glad to see that you were either wrong or else otherwise have successfully rewritten the forum software enough to make it work. This feature alone I believe makes purchasing Reddit KiwiGold more than worth the cost.

Great work, comrades. We're almost there!

I'd go for the Kiwi surrounded by hamsters myself. Fits my beliefs and personality.
