Helicopters are stored with their rotors pined or strapped in place to prevent them going "brrrr" in the wind.

Iranian Mi 17 for instance. You could easily hit the cockpit or engine with a small munition and the rotors stay in place on a grainy drone footage.

I'm sure you can figure out a paint that absorbs heat to be more visible in IR. Either way as someone else mentioned, helicopters have rotor brakes, you don't want stuff spinning without lubrication.
