You know what the real problem with American society is? It's filled with big giant pussies who can't take a day of discomfort or hardship whether it be real or imagined. It guarantees a slow painful death of the country because these fucking losers will continue to vote for short term policies that seek to comfort rather than fix or build. It allows the country to be raped by the world as it avoids any and all conflict regardless of how justified it may be.

A buddy just told me he heard the weapons were set on automatic. Told him he had to be shitting me. If you have combat going on all around you that's the last thing you want to do. You need to be watching every scope you have, need to stay in touch with your higher command, pay attention to any intelligence reports, keep everyone updated, and have a seasoned air defense officer, maybe with eagles or stars on the shoulders, making the final call to launch.

Kuwait should remember the Iraqi occupation very well and needs to keep their forces in fighting trim at all times. Nepo shit won't cut it; the distance from any possible adversary to Kuwait City is very short.

the biggest problem is that it's been thirty years since the Iraqi occupation. and while Kuwait kept their military in good shape for about 15 years or so, things started to slide back into decline and complacency as the Desert Storm vets aged out and retired

Forgive my ignorance, as any knowledge of air combat I have comes from Video games and movies, but how the fuck do *three planes* get taken down in , I assume, a single incident?

My own, completely out of my ass assumption, is that, given they were above Kuwait, all three pilots had simply turned off all their ecm and warning systems, and presumably their IFF as well, and so were just completely unaware that some arabs were trying to kill them until it was too late.
