It's interesting seeing the changeover to a new type of warfare. The people saying that this or Venezuela were going to messy shitshows weren't saying it for no reason, it was the norm for a very long time.
I had the thought earlier today that this is kind of like the Strangereal world setting of Ace Combat games in which whole wars are played out pretty much entirely by airborne assets, and ground forces don't matter.

Except we still don't have any of those cool flying superweapons.

Give us the goods. Any funny stories? What's it like on the ground? Any proof?
Without compromising OPSEC at least a little, unfortunately, no. As for the ground, we're deployed far from Iran in an extremely cushy field. Being non-specific, a rarely-mentioned European territory. Funniest story I can describe is a squadronmate winding up on the local news after getting a rental car stuck on a steep hike access road. Good hunting!

If Israel nukes Turkey someday let's just say it was Hasan Piker's fault.
The turks I know are embarrassed how much erduan is sucking islamic cock. Turkey is a democracy (a shitty one but still democratic) so theirs always a chance they will vote in a non retard. They're also in NATO so they can't fuck around as much as Iran.

Search "Al Udeid".
Multiple angles of launches but this link is from a bunker, near the trailer quarters. Shows failed intercept and impact, somewhere, maybe 300-400 yards from filmer.
we gotta get better missile defenses that was fucking pathetic.

okay, so wait. is the purpose of a patriot missile to lure the missile away, or actively intercept it with a physical hit, because that missile hit the middle of nowhere, but if the purpose was to intercept that was fucking awful and we need to replace the patriot systems, jesus christ.
The Chinese are a bunch of assclowns.
of course they are, they sold this to iran and venezuela as something that could TRACK F-35s. presumably because it could track their own current prototype stealth aircraft, and they were hoping it was on par with the F-35. it would seem that these things can't even track helicopters if venezuela is anything to go by. then again, it doesn't matter how good your equipment is if everyone you put in charge of it is an in-bred retard.

So rumour is they killed the ayotollah already. I find that optimistic, was this guy just a loser who lacked the elite hide and seek skills of Saddam/Bin Laden?
The Department of War under Trump has been doing very well, because he's content to move units into an area and then just hang out until an opportunity presents itself, rather than starting with a purely political directive that forces constraints on the operations. In this case, the necessary resources were already on the scene and the operation started *because* it was the perfect time to kill the leadership of the Islamic Republic.

It's a positive consequence of his tendency to improvise and act opportunistically.

Also I saw this and chuckled.

Give a jew an airtsrike and he's going to want a glass of sarin gas.
TBCF they aren't exactly wrong. E-dog has been inpower for too long and is getting a little big for his britches and dreaming of resurrecting the Ottoman empire.

OTOH this is like a pit bull looking at a swimming pool and saying "These kill too many young children and need to be removed".

So according to Steve Trump sounds like he is not expecting a leadership change in Iran
Trump is expecting the Iranians to do it themselves, he brings all the US' toys back home if they cuck out.

Not to shit up the thread with this triangle seeking faggot, but really nigga tell me what kind of fucking state was Venezuela before the intervention if not some kind of corrupt neo banana republic with oil that was just good for china and russia to exploit?
No but you see before they were Chinese and Russian puppets so it was good. Now they are back under America, so its bad.
You need to multipolar until you BROOOOOOCS all over the place

They decisively defeated the two largest empires west of China (albeit after they just fought a 25-year long total war) and took the majority of the population of Western Eruasia, saying they beat a bunch of city states is simply untrue.
They got INSANELY lucky and remember, their very first expedition out of Arabia was slapped back by the Byzantines.

The Byzantines and IIRC the Parthians also had plagues going on plus the aftermath of a decades long war PLUS the Byzantines had things going on in Europe plus the Parthians had a internal palace coup happening all at the same time.

If Mohammed had happened a generation later or sooner Islam would be confined to the Arabian peninsula and would be a curiosity.

With any weapons system, 100% effectiveness is just not possible. That's the point of massing interceptors, increase kill rate. It's all statistics. Missiles are notorious for having a high fail rate, as long as its within "acceptable tolerances".

He has those ambitions but realistically he can only expand into what, Northern Syria and/or Northern Iraq? He ain't restoring the Ottomans.

Russia is such a fucking cucked joke of a country.

These overconfident retards invaded Ukraine thinking they'd be able to overpower their army, capture or kill Zelenskyy and force it into submission in just three days, only to now be starting year four of a prolonged conflict, with 1.2 million dead Russian soldiers leaving their allies undefended. They had to ask for help from fucking North Korea, a country that hasn't fought a war since the 50s, and even then that ended up getting 6000 of them liquidated by Ukrainian forces. As a result, the Assad regime fell and got replaced, and the Ayatollah has been drone striked to hell.

And vatniks mean to try and fucking tell everyone that Russia's going to "get serious" one of these days and show its real power? After leaving two of its key allies to rot while it churns more of its men away at a failed war of conquest?

Edit: To emphasize, Iran was the primary producer and supplier of the Shahed drones that Russia has been using to strike Ukrainian infrastructure and civilians, and yet the Kremlin sees absolutely no fucking need to defend them at their time of need? Fucking cuck chair "superpower".

Trump is a delegator, and thus is willing to let the generals run the wars instead of micromanaging them with State Department bureaucrats & on the advice of glowies.
the results speak for themselves.

This kind of thing isn't entirely new. American history is filled with these little micro-conflicts that were resolved relatively quickly (in comparison to many European wars) like the Barbary Wars or individual Indian conflicts, Desert Storm, etc. Maybe not as swift as this or Maduro, but we've long had an extremely effective military that has the capacity for what we've seen in Iran. In cases like Vietnam or Afghanistan we just had to have one hand behind our back because of political interests or people in office actively undermining our efforts.

Trump has more or less brushed off the international powers that would usually get in the way of these kinds of operations.
About all they can do now is tsk tsk and finger wag.

I cant wait till we find out our only injuries are when private shit head drops a bunker buster on his foot. Normally in Israel you end up with one or two israeli casualties when 18 year old just out of basic/drafted private Shlomo didn't listen to his commander and took the humvee around a bend at 90mph and flipped it down the side of a cliff. Seriously in Israel you're more likely to be killed by some nervous private or your vehicle overturning than the enemy. I know when israel took the rest of the golan there weren't any combat casualties except for when some 18 flipped his jeep after hitting a guardrail.
