I think the big issue coming up for the midterms is that it was shown that this is unfortunately a bipartisan issue. The Democrats at Trump's SOTU seemed pretty excited for blood when Iran was brought up. I do really think that standing ovation has hurt them a lot when it comes to the midterm outlook (though I don't think it completely tanked their odds)
Considering that the foreign policy of Iran is literally called DEATH TO AMERICA, it's pretty easy to sell a war against Iran, especially since you could paint the attack on Jewish students and staff on college campuses as "Iran proxies bringing the war to the US" since the pro-Palestine crowd seems to be pretty tied to the Iran-supported Hamas.

I also hope the Iranian Regime falls as well, I have Iranian friends who lost family when the Ayatollah started summarily executing protestors during his crackdown. The viability of replacing the regime cleanly whilst avoiding an Iraq level quagmire is up in the air right now.
