There's no way I'd stop and stay on scene if the environment was hostile or unsafe - especially after watching what happened to people during the 2020 riots. I'd be calling 911 right away to explain the situation and arranging to stop at a place that was safer such as the nearest police station. Sure, it might be leaving the scene of an accident, but I'd argue it was mitigated by circumstances and the immediate call to self-report at a safer location.

I hate to say it, but this is a good reason why people should seriously consider dash cams if they don't already have one because people such as the protestors and their allies are going to tell the tallest tales possible about what happened and use their grainy phone camera videos as the proof

A coworker with a high school aged kid mentioned the kid's school had students out protesting. On the way home, the radio news claimed another school in the area had students "organize" a walkout protest. I'm pressing ❌ to doubt because I'm sure the teachers were behind it and/or encouraging the students to do it. I almost wonder if the nationwide turnout was below expectations as the media really didn't seem to talk about it much tonight when they normally love to brag about the turnout at any sort of anti-Trump Administration themed protest.

A lot of these protesters are the garbage of society, so it's not too surprising.
