I wouldn't say bugging out, but even Khameini's cabinet isn't foolish enough to think the Russians will be any help. They're bogged down in Ukraine and under as many sanctions as them, worse still, they could barely help their smaller ally Syria, what chance could they do anything for Iran?
Iran is of strategic importance to the Russian war effort, producing drones and missile parts as well as helping them launder oil.
